Just a thought I had when I heard about the new paintings you can get from the Bestine museum. Why not let image designers have schematics for paintings they can make and sell? It seems to me no profession would be more suitable to make paintings than the IDs, and it can't be that difficult for the developers to implement (scan in 20 or sostar warsy pictures, and code in a few new painting schematics).
I don't know, maybe this is a really bad idea and not something you guys want (I'm not an ID myself, so I wouldn't know), but I thought I'd mention it.

It is wonderful though that someone is out there thinking of content that could be added to our profession. Thank you!

What Rubella said
Paintings are an idea that comes up occasionally, and I would LOVE to do. In fact there are a lot of things I would lvoe to do that should prob fall under Interior Design in the Architect profession
Sure wish I had enough skill points to take up the tree

As much as I love the new painting schematics and as much as I KNOW weeed more content, which is no mistake, I have to agree crafting should stay with crafting.
While it doesn't make much sense that "architects" should be painters, I can see why it's given to them in a 'housing' situation. Otherwise we'd need a crafting class of only electricians for any lights etc...
The reson I would argue against image designers having the ability to have paintings, and why an Architect should...
1. Architects are artists in that they actually are capable ov making things on a canvas. They may do most of their work in bird's eye view and on drafting sheets, but most Architectural schools require that the student also be able to draw a detailed pencil drawing in 3D, and not at bird's eye. (the picture is supposed to be an image of finished product, plantlife, lighting and shading rules and all- it's magnificent).
2. A hair stylist, manicurist, plastic surgeon or what ever you wanna call us are artists, but not in the same sense. Being able to file a nail straight is a lot different then knowing if you can use Acrylic and oil paints in the same painting, and if so, which order to put them it.
The intricacies of personal image design is such that a painter wouldn't be able to do it without training in the area. It's not easy to know how to cut a certain person's hair.
But the intricasies of painting is such that a hairstylist wouldn't know how to do it. (And gosh art's a pain in the butt- even for an artist)
Oil painting is not something that is learned in medical school or beauty college, or at the gym. Just like proper makeup application or hair perming is not learned at an art academy.
However.... I could see combining the two and creating something new- like using architectural rules to inspire a hair style.... And boy dow we need some more interesting hair styles...
You know the ones- the hair styles that match the freaky clothing seen on european fashion runways- the stuff that no one will EVER wear except that one time. We need those. And the clothes. Well, the tailors need the clothes.....
