The surefire way to avoid getting bugged is don't use a macro and be sure you're targetting the person you started the /im with.
The #1 way to get bugged is to be using macros, especially in a busy cantina.

If you are image designing someone ( or if its someone ID'ing you)
1) Targer yourself by pressing ctrl+1
2) Type /im
3) target the other player
4) I think you type /im again
5) just have them accept something
This works every time. Im not sure if you have to do #4, its on my /notepad, too lazy to go look at it lol

I wouldn't be heartbroken if you combined all the FAQ's, ID websites, find ID by galaxy, etc into 1 post and provided links to each. That would condense it a bit. Though I do like seeing my "name in lights" on the stickies 
Entitle the post "CLICK HERE FIRST, STOOPID." Ok, that was a joke.
