Thread: Sigh, first clothes on NPCs we can't have...now haircolors...
Yeah, the Mara Jade npc does have a very nice shade of red. Wouldn't it be cool for hair if instead of a palette we had 4 starting colors and a slider to adjust shade and saturation of color.

She also has a different hairstyle. I'm afraid I just don't understand this... if they've already CODED the hair into the game, why haven't they put it into our options??
I'm not sure it IS coded into the game. At least, not as hair. I've noticed that many static NPC's (Leia, Mara, Han, etc.) have hairstyles, skin tones, facial features, and other details that we can't have. I haven't been able to check this, but I intend to see if the telltale face-shade bug is on static NPC heads. (you know... sometimes a persons face is lighter than the rest of the body. You see an outline or someting of where the face is.)
If these Static NPC's DON'T have the face-shade bug, then it's a good sign that their heads are all one single item, instead of composed of many like our own. In which case, no, it's not coded into the game as hair.
That's not foolproof, though... I mean, the only race I've really noticed that bug on is Twi'leks, usually on men. I'm a female human with one character and a female Twi'lek with the other, and neither of my characters have this issue. /shrug I am curious though. I've noticed as well that the features of the known characters- Leia, Han, etc. all LOOK like themselves. But Mara Jade sort of had to be created from scratch, as she isn't in any of the movies.
