...that it is just as easy to master ID now, even after the patch. Any comments?

And before you flame.....

I'm not grinding or anything. My buddy (who is still grinding) told me this. I was under the impression that it is a much harder prof to master now that the ID patch hit live. I argued with him about it and then thought "why not ask the experts?"

So if any of you have mastered ID after the patch, please feel free to enlighten me....

btw...I really like the new stuff you guys can do. The stat migration change is awesome. It's bout time you guys got some dev love

It depends on what you mean by easy.

It takes more time now than it did before.

It takes even MORE time if you don't have either two accounts or a LOT of friends/guildmates to use as victims.

If you are a Wookiee or a Mon Calamari, you have an intial barrier of not having any hair/horns/ridges/lekku to modify in order to get any xp, so members of those races are unable to practice on themselves until they manage to get to Image Design 2 and can change eye color... which makes a second account or lots of friends and/or guildmate even more vital than for other races.

On the other hand, even for Wookiees and Mon Calamaris (once they actuallyMAKE it to Image Design 2) all it really takes is TIME (a LOT of time).

...and a great tolerance for boredom.

The pure Grind-Speed of mastering ID is longer.

What used to amount to rather fast self-advancement through macros now takes a rather long time [2 seconds to 1 min].

However, for those who were more casual about advancement and did it through their normal progress sessions, the XP change that hurts them most is the flat xp rate, although it can still be a better pace/rate for some of the more Mind Intensive changes under the old system [baring drugs + foods].

For the more casual who don't 'practice' that much, it may well be about the same; while those who do practice [the majority of us] will take longer.
