Image Designer Archive

This has probably been suggested before, but since I haven't spent a lot of time (ok, ok, any time) around the ID forums, I thought I'd run over here and suggest it.

Merchants are often complaining about the difficulty in getting vendors that look the way we want them to. Even with Hiring IV, we still have no real control over any of the features of our vendors other than the race and clothing. After thinking about it for a while, though, I decided that rather than giving more features to Merchants to fix this, perhaps the best solution would be to give Image Designers the ability to use their craft on Merchant Vendors. This could be an excellent new source of income for you, and a solution to our much bemoaned problem.

Of course, I don't know a thing about image designers, and I'm just assuming you can't already do this. Please correct me if you can. But if you can't, and you agree that this would be a very nice perk for both professions, let the developers know it!

I have certainly never tried, and I don't even know howone wouldtry since you can't ID anyone you're not grouped with, but I've heard that we can't do it.

I think it would be great for both IDers and Merchants if we could. Good post.

Oh, and PS: I've seen some really ugly vendors out there.

I'd like this too. I think it would be great for image designers as well, cause it would ive us a reason to go up the merchant tree. We could set up 'models' showing what we're capable of.

This is on my top ten of personal wish lists, and was included in a documentOod_Bnar (the art team director) asked me to compile for him summarizing a thread I started some time ago called "Art Team: What Women Want". I am a master merchant as well as a master image designer and have felt the pain of having to destroy DOZENS of vendors trying to get a certain look. I actually talked about that aspect (and a couple others) of being a merchant in my latest Gamer Girl column. Anyway, I haven't heard back about whether it's feasible, but it sure would be wonderful For merchants and image designers alike

The poor merchants finally give up!! Not many are as insane as me who will sit there for hours creating and destroying vendors. Lol.

One wookiee customer wanted me to make him look just like his vendor... I didn't ask questions...
