How many of them are on the first page today? Wish we could change the subject of the ID faq to "The Answer to the Outstanding Offer Bug" or something, since no one seems to want to read the sticky. ... or the other posts about the same thing....

And add into the sticky that the trick to bypass the bug may not always work, and if it doesn't then only server reset will free the victim of the bug.

People that don't check out the FAQ's and don't check to see if the question was asked in the first 2 or 3 pages of a forum won't notice a thread called "How to fix the Outstanding Offer Bug"but I may be wrong

Actually, there was one 'id bug' thread earlier wherethe person actually quoted the FAQ, showing steps to 'work around' the bug, and then asked what to do if that didn't work. At least SOMEONE knows what they're doing.

Hmmm..that was my post earlier where I quoted the FAQ - and yes I do know what I am doing (thank you Darkagent =) ) - I read all of the FAQ's and guides about ID before I started the profession


I thought maybe - since the FAQ was posted a while back that something else may have come up that would fix the problem - and I was also a little frustrated because I was close to getting all of my skill boxes filled up and couldnt find anyone to partner with - so I was stuck, could not get any id xp - so I posted here for help - but apparently I shouldnt do that - silly me for asking for help - I guess I thought that this was what these boards were for...the sharing of info


Incidentally - Is this bug going to be fixed? It can make for a frustrating night in game...

Maybe we should make a post labelled "How to fix outstanding offer bug" in bold flashing letters and not sticky it but keep bumping it to the top of page 1. Maybe then the hoardes will notice it.

This isn't aimed at you at all Ainya We realize that sometimes it doesn't work and people will ask if anyone knows another solution. It's aimed at those who don't check the FAQ and therefore don't even know the workaround exists.


Really we're all guilty of not following instructions some of the time

You mean like telling the annoying beggar that the devs implemented a "Delegation Unit" advanced players can put credits in for donation to others? Really, I've done it…just target me and type /du to access it. *snickers*

I've decided that, every time I read a post about it, I'm going to act like I've NEVER heard of it before, and their announcement of this bug is going to revolutionize life as we know it and stop world hunger.
