Thread: Patch Pricing?
I just changed mine to
/alias ITIP To start I need 2k to cover the Impearl luxury tax; and when we are finished most customersnormally tip; just tip whatever you feel is appropriate for my time will be more than sufficient.
I'll guess I'll need to change it when we get the new UI. Untill we do see it it is hard to say a good price to set. plus we may even get craft-ables or temporary IDs which also effect the prices. So for now I think it's up in the air.

Good topic, I'm guessing demand will be VERY high. And we're a rare breedAnd people have more money now than when some of us created that price list (1-4k per change). I'm thinking 10-20k for cool effects, what do you all think? Does that sound too high or too low?
Like everything new, we will probably be able to (and want to because of the demand) ask for high prices on these new styles for a week or two, but eventually most people who want these changes will have it done already and the prices will have to come down.
Will you charge more if it's something you don't like?
I will! For example I don't want to see green skin humans, so I may charge 30k plus for do it.
It would be nice if these things were temporary like the bikes- though not AS temporary. (I find the bike color decay FAR too fast. If it's based on how often I take my bike out- I try to keep it stored when not using it so I don't use the repairing exploit.) Maybe a once a month thing where the change goes back to the way it was.
I'd say anything like 'plastic surgury' such as torso, height, nose/chin/jaw/ear/eye shape changes would be permanent. (Weight... eh, since there was talk about having it fluctuate with eating and stuff... I'd say Muscle and weight are things that normally fluctuate in a species regardless of surgury. But I don't think weight/muscle should degrade like the bikes do. Those bikes lose their customization FAR too fast.)
Anything that's a color change I think should probably change back to normal after a month.
Perhaps those particle effects should change after 3 weeks or so. But definitely, not everything should be permanent. Clothing decays, armor and weapons decay so why can't this? I have to go in to the parlor ever few weeks for my nails, right? It takes work to look exotic. ::sage nod::
I haven't been master long so I can't say what My pricing would be, But I would charge more for the freaky colors. (I would be pretty likely to drop the price without telling them if I notced they were doing it for a really interesting roleplay purpose- like that guy who was a chiss... sadly that guy was a Twi'lek so he'll not be able to have hair, once that's fixed... when are they fixing that? Twi'lek still have horns sometimes)
And definitely more for the particle effects. Hey. There is a difference between getting a facial. A deep cleansing facial. And a European facial, right? So. That's how I'll base it.
It will vastly decrease the time when people can pick and match, making things easier for sure and thats somewhat good and bad.
I use a similar pricing to Kwee's (altered in some parts) and the new changes I could easily charge more for yet with total conversions since most of my creative input will more than likely be shot and the time decreases, I think it could drive prices down a tad.
To recap, sure it will make things easier but it will KILL my creativity with the customer being able to look at everything on the palettes, the main reason I even bother with an ID as my main source of income these days.

Just as a note, we were told that they would not be able to see everything on our palette. I was a little worried about the real time view of changes for customers, but the more I think about it, the less worried I am. Except for the customers who would probably be no fun in the first place, most will let me creative anyway, and once I have a look that I think they would like finished, the real time view will make tweaking it so that they think it is perfect a lot easier (I hope).
