i read the faq about a long relog but i thought i once heard of another way to clear this...any ideas?

There's a workaround in the FAQ, it doesn't always work.

That stupid workaround NEVER works for me.

If you have the outstanding offer:

Click on someone else

Type /im

Press ctrl+1

Type something like /imagedesignSetValue eye_color 0 or any image design command

Press accept.

If its on someone else, just reverse it. Click on urself, type /im, and then click on someone else and type in the command.

I do believe that this is stickied up there though.
