It got flushed in the toilet. I'm a musician and id and I never get tipped. Not for lack of being friendly or for lack of attention. I greet everyone who enters the cantina, I am social, when someone asks me to id them, I am helpful and usually end up browsing a ton of hairstyles with the person, and I get tipped about 10% of the time.

I recently turned off my master id tag because I was tired of doing it for free and having to ask for a fee. Once I finish my master musician, I'm going to institute a pay first rule for myself, no id, no musical buffs without money up front. It may seem rude, but it's the only way for me to do it.

Sadly the holo grind has killed much of the player 'tip willingness'. For example last night I walked into the Coronet cantina to find ~20-30 players playing music/dancing. Not I'm not about to tip an afk macro/holo whore dancer or musition but if there is a real dancer/musition I tip very very well. I asked and no one was not holo grinding. was kinda sad. It is my hope that once the jedi change goes into effect that we will see a sharp decrease in the amt of these 'dancer robots' and you guys can start getting some more love.

Yeah. Holo grinding has killed the market for Image Design, Entertainer healing, Medic healing, and Slicing. I for one will be glad when the "Jedi Path" system goes in and stops glutting the market with holo grinders.

I agree that the hologrinders are a problem. Its not their fault that SOE made the path to jedi hologrinding, but they do cause a problem and they destoy the economy for people providing services. XP and AP are now more valuable than credits a lot of the time. I have had a few people refuse to pay me for ID services because I am "getting xp" and that should be enough. Umm.... there is a master ID tag over my head, and I don't need any more XP thank you!

I heard that with the new Jedi Path System, the main character would become the Jedi character and that one doesn't get a second character.

I agree with you though on how the holo-grinding kills the markets for other professions. It really sucks, because before the holocrons, 90% of the people tipped the entertainersfor healing them. Now, the cantinas are flooded with AFKers.

I had some battle fatigue and found a non-AFK entertainer in the cantina. He got 4K just for really being there!

This is correct; this is also, in my opinion, a VERY good thing. I don't know about anyone else, but I've grown far too attached to my character to stop playing her just so I can have a Jedi. Also, this will HOPEFULLY mean that we can do stuff BESIDES be a Jedi.

The only way such a system would work IMO is if you had your 250 reg skill pts and then had your 'jedi points' that could only be used for your jedi advancement. cause personally I think the idea of a MID/JM is sweet as hell from a rp perspective!

I came very close to master dance a couple times. I used a macro but I was also sitting here watching my avatar flourish her little heart out. I carried on conversations ect ect. I have used a holo once and it said Master Doctor. Now don't get me wrong, I couldn't survive in combat with out the help of MD's and those great buff's they give, but Doc wasn't for me. To much crafting, macro or not. So now I stick with what I know and love. Unfortunantly I can't master dance, master ID and master TK as there simply aren't enough Skill points /sigh I really think we (the entire SWG comminty) ought to petition for more skill points. At least enough to master 3 elite professions

Minor nit-pick: you can master 3 elite professions. For instance, Rifleman/Pistoleer/Carbineer, Teras Kasi/Smuggler/Pistoleer, Heavy Swordsman/Fencer/Pikeman…they just have to be based off of 3 tracks from the same basic profession or 2 tracks from two basic professions. Doesn't work if you're trying to do 3 tracks from one basic and 1 track from another.
