Iwas thinking about this yesterday, & thought if we're going to have player city tents they would probably not be as big as the NPC city ones & be more like the current merchant tents,& that would be fine with me...But then I had a better idea...
What if instead of having to have the whole tent, we had the option of having the ID terminal crafted by an architect or merchant so that we could either place them in our home salons or in a merchant tent ???
This would eliminate a lot of unnecessary work by the devs & make us happy at the same time. Tomake the terminals items that can be placed in player owned structures would be very easy & would solve the issuewith ID's who want tousea house as a salon. And instead of trying to come up with a tent decoration schemethat will satisfy us all, they can simply give us an empty merchant tent & let us decorate it ourselves.
What do you guys think? I may even give this it's own thread...
If nobody is manning the centralized ones near NPC cities, then what good will it do to have these scattered across the planet in empty player cities where customers will have to frustratingly venture city by city to try and find that brief moment in time when an ID might actually be there? I'm not flaming here, but being realistic. ID's are not manning thecurrent unique locationswhich at the very least should provide a "known" location and higher probability for successfully meeting a customer or an ID (depending on which side of the equation you are on).

I get what you are saying...but in reality we never asked for the tents. That was an idea the devs wouldn't drop even though the majority of us said we wouldn't use them. Would you want to play a game where all you did was sit around in an empty tent all day waiting for the one or two players that might show up?
Probably the best thing to do is find out who the ID's are on your server using the thread in this forum or your ingame find feature...add them to your friends list or email them to see if you can arrange a time you can meet at one of the tents. I'm sure you will find one willing to help you this way as most ID's are a very helpful bunch. But as helpful as we are I don't think you'll be seeing too many of us just hanging out at the tents waiting for potential customers.
Good luck!
My wife is a Master ID, and she spends most of her time in or near her city running missions and what not. If someone contacts her for stat change, she will rather meet her client in her city than taking multiple shuttles to NPC Tent.
