Thread: ID Terminals By Themselves ???

Iwas thinking about this yesterday, & thought if we're going to have player city tents they would probably not be as big as the NPC city ones & be more like the current merchant tents,& that would be fine with me...But then I had a better idea...

What if instead of having to have the whole tent, we had the option of having the ID terminal crafted by an architect or merchant so that we could either place them in our home salons or in a merchant tent ???

This would eliminate a lot of unnecessary work by the devs & make us happy at the same time. Tomake the terminals items that can be placed in player owned structures would be very easy & would solve the issuewith ID's who want tousea house as a salon. And instead of trying to come up with a tent decoration schemethat will satisfy us all, they can simply give us an empty merchant tent & let us decorate it ourselves.

What do you guys think?

Right now, I don't think that the problem is the art. The problem is that image designers have been rare and hard for people to find, so they want to encourage (force) image designers into a few specific locations. I personally don't think that this is necessary. Just putting the tents into cities will make it an attactive place for image designers who want to drum up more business than they know what to do with! I would prefer to be able to do everything in my boutique since it is quiet and I can really pay attention to my customers. I went into the tent to help out a guild mate with a stat migration yesterday, and I was pounced on by half a dozen people asking for everything from full makeovers to stat migration to training and help with ID grinding (not to mention a random marraige proposal from a stranger). I didn't even have my tag on, so I would hate to see what would happen if it said Master Image Designer over my head. Anyway, my point is that they are trying to make us easy to find by putting us in specific places, but doing this makes me want to hide from those locations instead of actively image designing because it is just too chaotic to do a good job in there for me.

Agreed. I did ID work in Theed the day of the patch, and got a headache from trying to follow every thing. There was just to much chatter and I felt like I was short changing my clients because I was having trouble keeping up. I have done 3 stat migrations since then, in the tent in Coronet, which, oddly enough, is deserted. Other than that, I have only ID'ed my guildmates because I refuse to go into those tents. They really ought to give player cities something. I know most ID's prefer a nice, quiet environment to work in so that their attention is not divided by a million different things.
