Hmm, except the statement where one of the devs said that they're may be re-evaluating the advancement metrics for ID XP over the next couple weeks. These mostly are adjustments that were announced last week though, *shrug*. Give it a lil more time for any xp adjustments all I be trying to say.

The thing that boggles is that there needs any re-evaluating of advancement metrics at all. It's already been calculated by players that it takes 50-120 hours to master, continuously and non-stop, in the best of circumstances. This throws it way out of lineof any other profession by an order of magnitude, outside of MBH possibly (where you're actually playing, and not staring and waiting at a blue screen, and most of this is just spent levelling the last branch).

This sort of quick calculation should have been done as a sanity check in design. When you affect one variable in XP gain, it only makes sense to see how it affects the end result given all the other variables.

And a dev who's math-shy could have tried to grind one novice ID box himself. He would quickly have deduced thatthe design was very, very wrong.

Because advancement metrics are best compared against Real Galaxy numbers as opposed to the theoretical. That and their theoretical numbers may be different on result of some bugs that show up on Test-Live, but not the test-beds [ie, multiple changes may be intended to give incremental xp, or whatnot].

In any event, give it some time after the next publish at least before declaring that the Devs are ignoring the problem .
