Thread: The What We Dislike and Boo! Thread :(

First off, this is not a negative thread, but a voice of concern to list what we dislike about teh current patch and what needs to be fixed as a result. I kudos for the new user interface, I can honestly say alot of time went into it, and thanks for the long overdue colors. The min-patch in unto itself was what it was, "mini."

What I dislike:

ID TENTS: Not the concept mind you, but that they are starter city only. We wanted PLAYER CITYSALONS similar to our Dancer/Musician cousins. The Friday Feature crippled ID's who wished to stay in thier cities because you explicity told the public you will find ID's at the tents. You failed to mention that only STAT Mitigation was necessary in a tent. I cant tell you how many clients I lost because they insisted I had to be at the tent, as if I didn't know what I was speaking about. As it stands now I the ID have to inconvienince my waiting clients on Lok if someone wants a stat mitigation on Theed. Unacceptable... There should be a droid counterpart if you dont want to spend the time to make structures. I understand it can be difficult to make a skin and have it perform a function. Starter city tents are nothing more than a grief fest now dominated by the "overnight" master ID's who spite us true ID's from making the most of our professions by charging for free or undercutting. I dont pick up a gun or use my fists for money, dont rain on my parade and pick up a hair dryerto spite me...

Bugs: Yes bugs. Hate them. The brown hair bug still is present. If a male zabrak with horns style only wants the ponytail style, you can color the horns but not the hair. Accepting the hair and restarting the ID session clears the bug and hair color can be used.

Changing hair color does not change its color on the ID or other area players's end. Only the customer sees the change. However those not in the area who enteredfrom outsidesee the change. (I was 2000m from the Imp outpost on Lok in my city cantina and did the change. I did not see the change. My friend was at the imp outpost and came to visit me. When he entered the cantina, he assured me that my client's hair was the color I made it. Bug possibly related to draw distance?)

UI security of payment: While the UI is very cool, sometimes it makes it difficult to chat. ig: somtimes when hitting enter to chat accidentily submits the design. A customer can easily accept before a ID placed a charge in the box. Not 100% secure. Solution: Much like how you can set a price for merchandise in the Bazaar, Or even EQ style bazaar fashion, so should we be able to set a price on our slider bars. That way if we use teh slider, the price automatically appears in our suggested price field, OR less complex solution: Disable Enter in the code so it doesnt send it to our clients for approval. Make it so you need to physically close the window or use the submit buttons.

Add virtually all facets of stat migration; restricted location of ID tents; timers; holo-emotes

I also am surprised we did not get a richer color palette for tattoos. I cant tell you how many zabrak were asking for a "darker" black or a titanium white.

yeah I've been running into the black and white thing for both tattoos and male hair.
and brighter horn colors would have been nice too

The timer. That is what I dislike the most of ID at the moment. Either greatly reduce the timer, or remove it entirely and double the xp needed to master the profession.

Stat migration. Non ID should still be able to to this themselves at a much slower pace (ie 3 days). A player can heal wounds and BF at a much slower pace in cantina's and med centers, so an alternative option for Stat Migration should be possible.

Tents. They are ugly. A boring poobrownish color, and too many of those IDterminals. The so called ID terminals don't even have a function other than taking up space. I much rather see furniture (have a seat anyone?), maybe even a minibar or something like that. Have it look more like a beauty salon than some high tech experimentation lab. Cloning anyone?

The only real thing that bothers me about the new publish is the fact that we have gotta no new hair styles, tattoos or other markings. People seem to be really happy with the stupid and pointless holoemotes that they've forgotten about the fact that we havent really gained anything apart from the stat changes. The whole idea of an Images Designer is to change people, mainly their appearance. Get rid of the pointless emotes and give us something worth while instead.

Finally! An ID with some sense! New colors should have been added along with all the other expanded color palettes. The UI, while nice, was long overdue. Holoemotes are cute, but I don't think have thier place in the ID profession. I think a very tiny droid would have been better and placed in the DE profession.

Where are our glitters? Where are our highlights for hair? Where are our new Tattoos for the body? Where are our craftable lip-sticks and eyeshadows? Where are our new hairstyles? Where is our CONTENT?

We never asked for starting city tents, we asked for PLAYER city salons. We never asked for stat-mitigation to be placed soley on us, we asked for ways to make people covert/overt and disguises for our GCW part. We never asked for a timer, (although I support it for now), many of us wanted increased Xp requirements. Basically anything we ASKED FOR we didnt get. Anything that was implemented in the patch should have been there in the first place. We only asked for colors and ID because it should have been there as a standard feature not as a wish list item.

Most of you think that the devs are showing you "love," but they are just doing thier job. If they wanted to show us "love," you would have seen new hair styles, tattoos, Player city buildings and the rest of the list we asked for months ago. Granted all professions need a revamp before content is added. But don't think this patch was love, it was mandatory.

Its just another bone that has been thrown. The same could have been said about the previous publish when DE's received some 'loving', tho the things they asked for were never given. Though, that shouldn't come asa surprise.

More people start to become concerned when they actually start to fix things instead of adding usually pointless eye-candy.

Exactly Lunah,

I wonder why Kwee hasn't responded to this thread yet? Could she actually be pleased? That kinda worries me...
