Here's my new idea to deal with the dreaded ID timer:
For each ID session, allow the Image Designer to choose whether or not they get the ID timer.
If you choose NO, then the ID will happen instantly, but you receive no experience points.
If you choose YES, then you do get experience points, but you have to wait for the timer.
Besides being annoying, the ID timer actually makes it very hard for us to do business with our customers. We all know that customers frequently change their minds. Here is the typical example (which I am quoting from another thread):

Me: Alright, anything else or are we through?
Them: That's it.
Me: Alrighty then. ::Clicks accept.::
Them: OH! How about those holo emotes!
Me: ::sigh:: ...accept what I've sent becuse I can't back it up. ::Starts a new session with the same person.::
This plan allows you to perform instant ID if you are just playing around with your avatar's look or if you have a picky customer who needs multiple sessions, but still retains the timer to prevent ID grinding (or whatever the purpose of that damm timer is).

Interesting idea as Kwee said, but I'd imagine some interesting situations arising from it.
1) For an ID to advance, they would need to grind, because potential clients are not going to want to wait on a timer if it's optional.
2) It couldn't affect Stat Migration, as that timer needs to be at 10 minutes for a balance/gameplay issue aside from ID advancement. And I think that Stat Mig is probably the "big groan" in terms of the timer anyway.
