Compared to some of the other 18 answers, I think ours was one of the most favorable. Most everyone else got a "no" a "mabe later, or perhaps maybe not" or a "perhaps something else instead". We got a "As close as we can get it".

Image Designer

Recently the Image Designer community was informed that the ability for Image Designers to makeover Merchant NPC vendors (who are often created and deleted by the dozens as players attempt to find one suiting their aesthetic requirements) was being pursued. Both the Image Designer and Merchant communities have been anxiously awaiting word on whether or not this ability will be granted, and if so when we might expect to see it in the game.

We do want to grant these abilities in the future. Players won’t be able to select any image the way a player can because it takes up database space to store all of those individual variables, but we want to add a series of pre-selected choices that an Image Designer could choose from. This would definitely be after the Jump to Lightspeed.

Darn I was hoping that the Merchants could be fully customizeable. You think they can still be fully customizeable at least for the races we already have in the game who already also have those variables? The reasons I ask is one of our PA members left the Guild, and we are a Roleplaying Guild so we are RPing that she is in the cell, and it would be awesome if I could "clone" her into that cell

I'm afraid not Apparently even the way the vendors work now they are chosen from a limited number of options. They are not truly randomized.

Limited options in what sense? A certain number of total body packages? Or simply a lessened number of options per category?

I understood it as the former.

That's disappointing to hear, but let's be honest: better to pick from a limited number of choices manually, or better to do it randomly via create/destroy? I think we all know the answer to that one. Bring it on!

My recomendation for the next question:

The Image Designers of the Galaxies are concerned with the level of silence and diplomatic non-answers that they have been recieving in response to their greatest concerns. This in combination with the seeming game of "Pin the Tail on the Solution" that has been going on behind the scenes has lad many Image Designers to go into hiding and/or give up the profession. What plans do the developers have to restore an atmosphere of a "Pleasant and enjoyable gaming experience" to the profession ofImage Design?

i just have one question, how did i get a vendor with a HUGE rear end? I didn't even notice when i made her, and it wasn't until i was dressing her that i realized how HUGE it was. My guildies even made fun of me and were saying 'we thought you were going to change her out'.

Thanks for telling me AFTER i have over 150 items on her.
