All--

I have sat here and reviewed several sides of this forum, both from IDs and non-IDs, and it appears that some people are tickled pink by things as they are, and others are just totally angry about it and aren't happy. Well, since you all are giving your opinions, I'm going to give mine, to each of you respectively. It is not my intent to offend anyone here...just to get people to grow up a little. This reply probably could be added to about every post here, but I'm just giving it its own thread for convenience's sake:

1) To The "I'm A Loner, I Don't Need Anybody"Combat Types: This is called a Massive MULTIPLAYER Online Role-Playing Game for a reason. If you wanted to be in an environment by yourself and didn't want to have to interact with other players or waste your precious credits (I have no doubt you all have full suits of composite armor), then go sit in your closet and suck your thumb.

2) To The "Image Designers Are Queer" Types: You're a moron, and a child. First off, 90 percent of image designers are female. Secondly, the other ten percent of us just happen to have tapped into our creative sides a bit more effectively than you.I am a MALE IMAGE DESIGNER AND DAMNED PROUD! Besides, what the hell is wrong with gays in the first place (I am not gay, just so you know)?

3) To The "Ten Minutes Is Too Long To Sit" Types: The process used to take three days when you did it by yourself. Ten minutes over three days seems like quite an improvement to me.

4) To The "But I Don't Wanna Pay For Something That WAS Free" Types: Don't be cheap. You pay for every other service in this game, so now you have to pay for this one, whether you like it or not. Additionally, you should be willing to pay for the speed up in the change.

5) To The "I'm Already A Master And Hate Doing Migrates": That's fine. Most of you have found that you are quite happy just doing appearance changes, and if that suits you, wonderful....but don't shoot down the new image designers who use the stat migrations as a way to gain not only XP, but credits. I guess I can't imagine doing ID profitably without processing migrates too.

6) To The "I'm Gonna Give Away My Services For Free So I Can Grind Faster" People: From what I understand, grinding is pretty useless, or at least will be at publish 10. If you're going to grind for something, at least show respect to your fellow players and charge for your Image Design services, ESPECIALLY MIGRATES. Unless we maintain a united front, we're going to end up screwing ourselves out of what could be a true gold mine. I made the mistake of doing this at first, but have since fixed my ways. Don't you do it too.

7)To The "The New XP System for Image Design Sucks" People: I agree completely. I spent 40 damned hours getting Master, and it really shouldn't take THAT much playtime to make it.

8) To The "Image Design Has Nothing To Do With Stats" People: Bullpucky. Besides, the Doctors have enough to do...we Image Designers deserve some real credit and respect for the work that we do...especially have to be putting up with rude, disrespectful and antisocial customers like you.

8) To The "I'm Going To Flame Your Thread Because You Told The Truth" People: Feel free. I'll ignore you like I do everyone else who challenges reasonable logic. However, if you have a GENUINE disagreement with what I've said here, I'd love to debate over it.

Sorry to be so argumentative on my first day here...but a lot of these threads are just runaround on the same thing.

Thanks,

P.S.: Maybe I'm a fresh perspective because I'm new to the game and Image Design, but I hope everyone takes this as what it was meant for...constructive criticism. You all need to realize that you're dealing with other people here...except maybe the Devs. Sometimes they seem to be mindless robots, and sometimes their genious...who knew?

Minor nit-pick. That was 3 days while doing something else. Key difference. If I could do something else in those 10 minutes it wouldn't be so bad.

Pfft. Took me 70, then again I remastered on TC before they changed migration XP, so...

Anway, welcome to the fold. Let me know when you finish that beer, next round's on me. (And what the heck, you don't drink anyway Fuschia )

P.S. I'm another one of those "you know you're in trouble when X agrees with you" types…so now you're really in trouble.

I agree with what you said, and I'd like to add that I also agree with another thread that asked for craftable ID kits that would allow people to make some minor changes, it would give us something to sell aside from sitting around for an hour doing migrations.

I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't mastered ID before the changes went in cause it's got to be hell.

As another "Male" Image Designer, well said!

Unfortunately I think I made your list in a round about way in regards to #6. I ask for tips instead of telling a flat price, which I think comes from my musical side. But then again, I do not even remotely try to "take over" a tent, or even advertise. I usually help people who are looking for an ID and can't find one.

No, no, working for tips is a respected and accepted method of charging for services. Working for FREE, obviously, is not. There's been a recent rash of people standing in the ID tents, spamming that they're giving away ID services and stat migrations, because they don't need the money and they need the xp. It's selfish and it's rude. But working for tips is fine. That's what I do, and have done since day 1, and I've been an ID pretty much since launch.

Welcome to Image Design! As a player who has Mastered ID on 6 Characters (2 before the increase to stat migration xp and 1 that was halfway through the grind when it went in) I find that I agree with all of your points.

My Current IDs:

Ssumidra on Bria (MID)

Sepia on Corbantis (MID)

Elistra on Lowca (MID)

Dar'yia on Intrepid (MID)

Miyax on Scylla (MID)

Lu'fra on Tempest (MID)

My ID to be:

Lhyris on Eclipse (2/4/4/4 Entertainer, 4/3/4/4 Musician, Master Dancer... and wishing for another 16 skill points so she could become an ULTIMATE Entertainer)

P.S. I'll take a Root Beer!

I survived the CU
