Thread: Had a blast in the cantina!

Last Night I was grinding Entertainer tree, and I was socialising and roleplaying with both tha band and customers all night and I had a blast! I made so many good friends, and today I get blessed with this little mesage:

command. When the command is typed, the recorded keystrokes and instructions execute or “play back”. In SWG, we can even attach those macros to handy toolbar buttons. (It may even be a third party program that executes macros, but that is a no-no that breaks EULA policy and gets players banned).

A recursive macro is a macro that executes the set of player commands and then starts over again in a never ending loop.

They are coming out soon You will still be able to write fairly long macros, but you will no longer be able to loop them and use a macro to activate a macro from itself.

What effect will this have on your profession?

Exactly, you can still get Healing XP AFK, you don't need to do anything to get it, you just need to be watched.

This is a doubled edge sword. I'm concerned it might mess performance macros some run while at the keyboard.

It's not that hard to write a 1000 line long macro, but I do expect a lot of people will be too lazy to do it. It might mean less spam in Coronet too - or am I dreaming now?

Resourceful players will find a way around this. This is the best news I think I've had all year.

Now, if they'd just make stat migration timers client-end only, I'd be a customer for life.

It also means bye-bye afk ID victim. Fortunately, I have made MID with 6 of the 7 of my characters that I plan to have take up the profession.

Actually, I wonder how they'll do it... I mean, currently we can call toolbar buttons from a macro, and another loop (besides putting a /macro macroname in) is to call a toolbar button from the macro. If they remove that option (to prevent loops) Then that will pretty much remove any and all ability players once had to change armor and weapons on the fly. Combat types will be an-gry.....

I was really positivley surprised by this message, too

I don't know how they will handle this and actually it's not really my job to work that out. I don't use any recursive macros ever so it will effect my only that way that those zombies will disapear or atleast stop to spam. It will definitly be an improvement

This would be soooooo nice for those timeswhen I'm the only ID in the tent and there are 5 people waiting.
