Heres a good one:

I am an imperial and in my guild I keep hearing the alien players how it sucks to have a penalty on all faction perks. Ive also heard alot of alien players ask to be able to wear stormtrooper armor.

My sugestion would be to let Image designers give alien players some sort of "formal look". It would be some kind of buff that would let alien Players be treated just like a human player because of the Image designers makeup on the alien. Then that player would be able to wear stormtrooper armor just like anyone else, I think this would please alot of them and you , as IDs would get to be very usefull for alien players =)

This idea can be extended to many more aspects of the game, such as wookie issues and stuff but I will let you guys develop on this =)

Well, ok, let me give my thoughts.

The devs explained long ago that the Empire is untrusting of other species aside from Human and Zabraks. Due to that, those species need to show that much more loyalty to acquire the same items.

While in theory it is a nice idea, eliminating the racial penalties really doesn't seem to work in the idea of continuity. Making a species appear as another is something out of star trek, not star wars. We're beauticians, not special-effects artists =)

I think the variety of species and the advantages/disadvantages is a strength, and being able to make them all equal, even for a short period of time, would hurt more than help. What's the point if everyone has the same stuff, does the same things, and acts the same way? Things get boring quick. (And it's somewhat like this now!)

While this idea would promote Image Designers, it would just lead to people making Image Designing alts to take care of a seeming chore or to gain an advantage.

My view of Image Designing is something entirely extra. It has no core focus to the game itself (like healing wounds/fatigue) but has its core focus on players. (They don't need/gain anything from anything an ID can do in regard to game mechanics, but the player sure can.) I feel Image Design is a wonderful profession and is the major reason I log in each day. While I'd enjoy the advantages of a special function/buff/shiny things that ID could bring/be, the last thing I want is ID to become a buffing or item profession.

I'd be happy as a clam if they just fixed the current ID bugs, and maybe added some more available settings.

P.S. I hope I didn't come across as condescending or anything, it's the last thing I want to do. But with your bump I saw that you were looking for feedback (and not just upping your post count) so here's my thoughts on the matter =)

At first I don't care for this idea, I'm not for forced IDing and I don't see a new haircut "formal look" changing the empire view of you. Then the thought cross my mind a Imperial tattoo may prove your loyalty. So if IDers got Rebel & Imperial tattoos that would boost/hurt your faction standing, I'll be all for that.

Tattoo? That doesn't prove loyalty. Now this *brandishes the red-hot Imperial insignia iron* this proves loyalty. Who's first? Muwahahaha!

*laughs* Catch me at the right time and I may very well be an ID in full advanced composite…always sucks when I forget to take it off before trying a change (*changes lip color, runs out of mind instantly* "Oh god, my mind!")
