Thread: Zabraks can't be black?

I tried to get an ID to change my skin color to black so that I would look cool like Darth Maul (I know it's unoriginal, but hey Darth Maul is the sh**). The ID said that I couldn't have my skin changed to black because I was a Zabrak. What is up with that? I guess Darth Maul just found a really good ID, I don't know. Was this ID just pulling my leg, or has SOE screwed up?

Darth Maul isn't black-skinned. That's a huge-ass tatoo. The ID was not pulling your leg, nor did SOE screw up…this time.

It doesn't matter what made Darth Maul black. He was black nonetheless. Since you can't getyour skin changed to black, or getlarge black body tatoo in this game, they did screw up.

Thats about as black as you can be without going brown black... which is P-3

Hmm... For some reason none of the images show up for me on that page. But I think I'm as black as a zabrak can get right now, and I'm not black at all, just brown.

There is a really good black color for Zabraks, but because of the way it looks on the image designer's side of the interface, it is often mistaken for another brown. However, when applied to someone's skin, it is definitely black looking to me.
When you talk to your master image designer, tell them you want the option that is three rows up from the bottom, and just to the left of the center of the color palette. (someone correct me if I'm wrong on the row count there...)

OK. Thanks a lot guys. Next time I'm in coronet I'll ask an ID to give me H-14. I think that is a little darker than the color I am.

That's odd, I could have sworn that they CAN be black. Mistigri (one of my Zabraks) looks black to me.
PS: I wish the palettes in game were as large as the ones on Pani's site. It's REALLY hard to see what you're clicking on in game.

it might also be the differnece on windowed mode and full screen mode.. I know my colours display a lot lighter in windowed than full screen.... but sinc eI have a 17 LCD it looks crisper in windowed mode.. plus windowed lets me see who's talking on teamspeak.... I usually switch to full screen when people want to be picky on colours.. cause I have a hard time seeing and identifying colours on the LCD

Probably because Norton Anti-virus is blocking the images. A number of other people have had the same problem. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about it. *shrugs helplessly* Try disabling Norton Anti-virus when you are at the site.
