Hello my fellow IDs,

it's time for my first official piece of work as your Correspondent and I need your support with it. About every three months we are asked for list of the TOP 5 ISSUES with our profession. And since it's not only me that is playing an Image Desinger in this cool game, I need your input on this topic. Please reply to this post with a list of the Top 5 things that you think that need to be changed/added of fixed. Please use a numbered list and try to stay short so I can put the stuff more easily together to send it to the devs and fight for it

As Example of how it should look like, here my personal Top 5:

  1. Timer and XP-progrssion: It's incredible boring to have to wait for those timers over and over and over again, especially with the stat migrations. Additionally it's very frustrating that with growing skills the ID still get the same XP for their work (100 for cosmetic, 300 for sody and 2k for a migration on someone else), while the XP needed grow steadily. Shorter timers and the ability to stack up XP for more than once change during one session (up to a considerable amount) would help here big time.

  2. The ID-UI needs a litte rework as well: Names on the Hairstyles (and their equivalents) and numbers on the sliders would be very, very helpfull and would maky alot of IDs more happy. The color-palettes are way to small, too. Additionally the old annoying and persisting 'Armor-bug' needs to be fixed.

  3. ID-tents for player cities or atleast more ID-Salons in static cities: At the moment both customer and ID often have to travel some distances to get to one of the five salons and to find each other. Many IDs, especially Masters don't want to make that travel all the time, especially while many either have a nice Tailor-shop in their favorite playercity or similar obligations. A player placeable ID-tent or ID-station would be really helpfull and would be greatly appreciated by our comunity.

  4. New Art content: Tattoos, hairstyles, factional symbols, logos for Armor and cloth, fur-styles for wookiees and the like... Anyting new would help the IDs feel not left out and would help to enhance to make this game look cooler, too

  5. Mon Cals and Wookiees (and possibly any future race that might be added to the game) needs something to change on themselves at novice Entertainer level. At the moment they are totally stuck at that level until they find someone to work on.

Of course these are just my personal issues and once I put the official list together, it will be this list I will be working with as Correspondent. So bring up your TOP 5 ISSUES here, so we can give the devs something more to do

Additionally I will open a thread for any other issues beyond #5 that you might have so they don't become forgotten or left out.

Techno --

Here's my personal top5 list:

1) The armor display bug in the User Interface MUSTbe fixed. The number of times I've had to ask clients to relog, delaying both them and myself, because of this is unacceptable.

2) There must be secondary locations at which stat migrations can be done and timers are lowered. Considering doctors have both player-placeable medical centers and doctor droid modules, I believe it is acceptable to give Image Designers both options: player-placeable salons and ID droid modules.

3) The XP progression must be repaired to make Image Designer a profession which takes a comparable amount oftime to master when placed side by side with any other elite profession. This could be done by using either of the methods you suggested above, or by combining the two into some equation that works our fairly for both aspiring IDs and game mechanics.

Actually...I only came up with three that are really important to me...but at least it makes sorting easier.

  1. Experience Progression:Without new players replacing retiring ones the profession will die. Enough said, we all know the problems here.

  2. Non-Standard Races Newbie ID:All races need something in Novice Entertainer box that they can change on themselves

  3. Stat Migration:Putslow self-migration back into the game

  4. New Content:More hairstyles, more tatoos, tatoos for non-zabrak, multi-color hair, etc. The possibilities have all been talked to death. May we have some of them please? (Editorial Comment: there are plenty of hairstyles... the trouble is 80% of them are horrid and no one will wear them.)

  5. Fix the new UI bugs:Armor showing up, hairstyle showing wrong if you do two IDs on same person in a row are the worst of them

That one is new to me. Is it repeatable somehow? Or can you give more detailed info please?

I like your list. It works for my top 5 too. I just shifted the order of some of the items a little bit.

  1. Timer and XP-progrssion: It's incredible boring to have to wait for those timers over and over and over again, especially with the stat migrations. Additionally it's very frustrating that with growing skills the ID still get the same XP for their work (100 for cosmetic, 300 for body and 2k for a migration on someone else), while the XP needed grows steadily. Shorter timers and the ability to stack up XP for more than once change during one session (up to a considerable amount) would help here big time.

  2. The ID-UI needs a little rework as well: Names on the Hairstyles (and their equivalents) and numbers on the sliders would be very, very helpfull and would make a lot of IDs more happy. The color-palettes are way to small, too. Additionally the old annoying and persisting 'Armor-bug' needs to be fixed.

  3. Mon Cals and Wookiees (and possibly any future race that might be added to the game) needs something to change on themselves at novice Entertainer level. At the moment they are totally stuck at that level until they find someone to work on.

Kibbitzing here:

1) I think if we get player city tents, we'd have to get the ability to register a location at the same time. It can be tough enough to find an ID now - imagine what it would be like for a customer if we did something like hang out in more than three tents.

2) A reminder that the UI armor issue is not just an ID-related issue. I've seen people whose changes of outfits, armor or no, just don't update. No rhyme or reason to it. Kwee said at one point the UI armor issue was a symptom of a larger problem. Yes, it's a really important issue for us, but I'd be hella surprised if it got fixed soon.

Afew notes:

1/ I like your list too Techno

2/ We should keep asking of course, but I was told resizing the UI and the palette boxes would both be quite a bit of work

3/ Merchant ID'ing, tattoos, reduced timers, architect-craftable ID tents are all things that at one point or another have beenapproved for some day in the future

I'm feeling lazy so I just stole these from the last top five issues list I did, but in the order I would choose

1. Timer issues

a. Too long, particularly the 10 minute stat migration one, customers and ID's often afk to get snacks, read, or watch TV

b. Timers mean having the UI up, which covers most of the screen, very immersion breaking

c. Timers for MID's who do not need exp anymore

2. Exp progression issues

a. More exp granted per change

b. Less exp needed per skillbox

c. A way for exp to stack for customer work

3. User Interface issues

a. Numbers for sliders/palettes

b. Color swatches too small

c. UI too big and not resizeable

d. No message when customer accepts/declines offer

e. No way to cancel session if customer LD’s

4. New art content (in order of desirability, as voted on by community)

1. New hairstyles + Wookiee fur styles (ability to move Zabrak horns & hair independently)

2. Tattoos & Scars

3. Hip/rump sliders

4. Particle effects as originally planned (hair accessories, glitter, streaks, fountains, etc)

5. Dual-colored hair (streaks, tips, highlights)

6. 3D facial hair for males

7. More tattoo patterns (for species that already have them: Mon Cals, Twi'leks, Zabraks)

8. New makeup choices (Blush, eyeliner, dramatic eyeshadow patterns, natural lip colors for males)

9. Piercings

10. Ability to create logos (for PA's, spaceships, vehicles, clothes, etc)

5. Alternates to Public City Salons

a. Player city tents (MID only)

b. Terminal to place in player owned homes

c. Droid module with terminal function

And give us our own personal ID tent!!!! Doesnt have to be big for player cities, it could be the size of a merchant tent for all I care just want out of the big city and all the lag associated with it.

and fix the haircolor bug!!!

Um... well, it just happens. *shrug* ID yourself and change hair. Then,ID yourself again, andmore often than notyou'll see the wrong original not the new hairstyle.

I agree with most of what you guys are posting...with one exception...

I think a player ownedID terminal is a better option than the whole tent. This would allow ID's to have more options in how they want to set up their salons. They could place them in any player owned structures such as houses, medical centers, guild halls, or merchant tents. An ID version of the merchant tent would be great, as long as we are able to do the decorating & terminal placement ourselves to tailor them to our individual tastes.

A droid module which serves the same purpose would also be good for the ID's who prefer making house calls oroffering their serviceswhile on the go.

These options could work like the cantinas for dancers, musicians, & chefs...you would have to be a master to be able to use them.

Other than that my list probably sounds similar:

1. Put the numbers back on the ID-side UI.

2. Reduce the timer by half, or make the stat timer start AFTER the changes have been accepted.

3. Reduce the xp requirements for novices.

4. 3D facial hair

5. Butt slider

As far as I'm concerned, every profession issue in this game can be summed up by the following #1 issue:

  • Lack of meaningful two-way communication between the developers and the community.
