When I saw this on the "IDs by Galaxy" thread, I couldn't help but think that this is one fantastic idea! Any ID who has a vendor can do this... and the chits can be recycled, so when one is used for a session, the ID can just put it back on the vendor!

Damn, that is a good idea... I could see something like that being expanded to just about every service profession too.

Thanks for the thumbs up =)

Couple details to help out anyone else interested in doing something similar:

1. I had a friend crank out dice for me of varying sizes

2. Each was given a name by the factory: stat migration, full makeover, simple change

3. I put 10 of each on my vendor (your price will probably vary, and I vary mine based on how much ID work I want to do)

4. When they sell I get an email and I setup a friends group and add the person to my friends list and drop them an email letting them know my typical hours and try to work out a meeting time & place.

5. If they get their work done by someone else before I can meet them, they can offer the dice back to my vendor for the price they paid for it. Had this happen a couple times because of time-zone differences

6. When I start work, I ask that the dice be traded to me before I commit the change. This gives me the opportunity to recycle the dice but it also lets me verify who created the die. If it they aren't created by my friend, I make the person pay via the ID dialog. (I've only had this happen once in over 40 sessions)

7. Once the work is done I recycle the die, remove the person from my friends list, and also delete the vendor sale email.

I keep the vendor sale email as a backup in case my friends list messes up and its easier than keeping a spreadsheet or something out-of-game.

Good luck all.
