Becuase I thought that these tents were going to let me, with the help of and ID'er, design myself. But instead I have to describe what colors I want and they may not be perfect so then I ask to try another color for my fur and its okay but not perfect but I settle on it. We have already discussed the price gouging and thats not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is I think that I should be able to design myself with the help of the machine and a MID. I just dont get why the devs wont allow that. It still gives the ID'er a purpose and gives them happier customers. I'm not even going to touch on the stat migration right now, considering my hair stylist in real life cant make me stronger....

Anyway, does anyone else have problems or suggestions for this new system?

Ifeverybody could design theirself, Why would you have an ID profession??

So what you are asking for the profession to be removed, RIGHT!?!

No what he/she wants is a visual representation of everything you have to offer, so he/she can point out or pick what they want and have you apply it. Much the same way you go into a hair salon, look through the books, point out what you want, taking into consideration the hair stylist's advice and have you're hair cut/styled... whatever.

I think that would be very helpful, especially for those that can't decide what they want, or need to look at every single design. If they can just pick and choose and we just apply it, trouble customers maybe easier to deal with. Also of course give advice. If they could make the interface able to be used by both ends that would be cool.

Well, the reason why 'selection' is entirely in the hands of the ID is so that we don't turn into a terminal bots that are just there to enable a change [and be effectively Bot-able].

The Palette schemes and various patterns available should be available on some fan sites shortly for the Saloon Browsing books. Of course, they wouldn't have a "Experiment on Your Character" type interface, which is what it sounds like you wanted.

But they also can't change your height, weight, or facial features. They've also given the titles "Plastic Surgeon", "Tattoo Artist"and "Personal Trainer" to the ID profession. ID's are more than just hair stylists, that's only 1 of the 4 trees.

how many times in my suggestion did I say "with the ID'er"? I never left that out becuase I know that is what we're trying to avoid. When I saw the tents yesterday I was worried that there would be no need for ID'ers because all I saw were the stations.

But with the new UI, you already have so much better a view of what you are going to look like. You can see things as the ID is viewing them on you, and say whether or not you like it. Your original post was asking for us to become ID bots, and ain't no WAY that's ever happening.

Yeah, screw the customer. I'm not asking you to be ID bots, I just want a little more decision in my own design. Its my character I dont see why someone else gets to decide my fur color or pattern. And the new interface isnt really that much better, not for the customer atleast. We just get to see real time changes which saves some time because you can say "Oh, that last one" but in the end it takes longer because of the stupid timer. The stat migration thing is so stupid because some of us spend months at a time on planets like Lok or Dantooine. We never see an NPC city or starport. I dont think that I should need an image designer to help with the progress of MY character.
