It seems as though the moaning is well underway, though as I've already pointed out to one person (if I did that more than once, I'd go mad) that it's something that's been known about for over a week (maybe it's a fortnight, but I have a poor memory

). I for one don't mind that you're the only ones who can activate stat migrations now, though I have read most of the opinions on it here.

What I will say though, is that I hope you don't get too much grief from the moaners (or, dare I say, "nerf ID" threads in the GCW forum) and that there are plenty of people who still like and respect both the profession itself and its practitioners

I still like ID and will probably need an haircut soon, but if an ID charge me 50K or 100K for a stat migration, he's insta-addignore and ban from my shop. Period.

You know I really wouldn't worry about that, if I were you.

Is there a reason all the non-IDs seem to like to take something a non-dedicated ID said and assume every single ID on the planet would charge that? Isn't that assuming the worst...? Boy I'd get depressed real quick if I always assumed the worst. Try thinking positively, especially about a profession on whose forum you're posting.

Not sure what server your on.

But being a Master Id myself. I don't plan on changing my current pricing. If i only charge 2-5k for a hair style, then it's staying that way. No need for me to up my price. 50k for stat migrations? Heck no. I don't think I have any 1 change that is over 10k. Now if there are multiple changes, then it can go over. But not over 10k for 1 single change. I've been tipped more than 10k, and that is awesome. But I won't charge over it.

Charging higher is just as bad as the Ch's who charged 1 mil for a mount when they came out. Artisians for charging 1 mil for a speederbike. And the poor wookies got raped when the Wookie armor came out....poor poor fur balls.

I'll reiterate here: most ID's don't want to do stat migration. It'll take about a minute to adjust the stats, then it's 9 minutes to wait for the timer to finish and the stats to adjust. We have to travel to one of 5 tents in the game in order to provide this service. We can't close the UI or hide it because things get right buggy when they do. The UI takes up nearly the entire screen which even makes it a bit of a hassle to chat.

How much would you charge to go and wait 9 minutes for a shuttle, but have to deal with the above?

I have always gone by tips but rest assured I'm going to charge for Migration, because it is a big hassle. I'll charge less than what was agreed upon (hides from Starsider MIDs* but that doesn't mean I'm going to do it when I don't feel like sitting around like that. If I'm in the mood, sure, if I'm not, then nope.

Ahh well you see.

I won't be doing stat migrations if I'm not near one of the tents. If i get the requests, I have to say sorry, I'm not near any tents at the moment, yada yada. Either way, stat migration, I'll probably do the "Tip me what you think it's worth", thing.

80K is the going rate on Bloodfin for a stat change only. Less if there is at least more then one Image Design as well. Love it or Hate it that is how it is on our server. It is a valuable service that the Dev's gave us. 80K won't even pay for one Flame Thrower on Bloodfin.

Don't get me wrong, I think time of everybody is valuable.
And I'm ok to get charged a fair price even for stat migration.

I made a post once in the musician forum explaining how to build 1 of the component of an adv R3 chassis, I know it can seem rude when people think you're over charging for something that doesn't worth it, but I didn't plan to sell adv probot for 500K on publish day. I mean on a simple comparaison between the 10 boring and completely stupid minutes for a stat migration and the time and money required to gather good and expensives ressources, run factories, build customer selected modules and assembly, believe me I know the feeling.

What I cannot accept is people abusing this to charge unacceptable prices.
It's like people selling droid related attachment at a minimum of 100K per point. It's just the best way to hit my ignore list.
