Black does not work well with this graphics engine as stated. The other day i tryed to Turn my droid a Solid Black with the customization kit, which can be turned totally black, but there are no "white" or lighter color shadows so it just looks like a black silhouette basically.

As a Zabrak who fell INSTANTLY in love with the look of the most famous of our kind: Darth Maul; I would like to second Feyd's wishes and say that I would give my left, rear horn to be able to turn ebony black/obsidian with my blue tattoos!!! Additionally, I'd throw in the right, rear horn if an ALL body tattoo was offered. It would save me the need of having to choose a shirt to put on every morning, and I'd rather spend 15k in credits to an Image Designer for a new set of tattoos than to pay a tailor 8k for a shirt that every Don, John and Larry can purchase. Please let me know where to wire the horns to!!!!

p.s. LOVE your quote, Feyd!!!! One of the best movies EVER, and one of the best lines from that movie!!

When colors are too dark, they can obscure the features and textures. It's a pretty common graphics problem, which is likely why we don't see many black characters in game.

I dunno, I made a guy that odd gray color today, and while it wasn't perfect, it would do in a pinch.
Also, I think it has something to do with the texture of our skin. Notice that the races who have fur (Bothans and Wookiees) have the option of black, but those with leathery skin (Trandos, Mon Cals, all humanoids) don't.

I don't believe so. I think Kwee mentioned something earlier about that color not working, but maybe it was just for hair.
