I say this with a a tear in my eye: I am no longer amaster image designer. I had a choice: I could drop master musician or master image designer to keep master entertainer and master Tera Kasi Artist. I feel i will make my farewell post one of reflection. I have been, either on ahazi or bria, a master image designer since august. Having been in this profession for so long, it pained me to type "yes" into that box.

I remember when i first started out on ahazi, way back when. I picked up image designer the right way: doing individual jobs, and occassionally working on myself (not macroing mind you) until that fateful day i mastered image designer (back in the "dark ages"). I remember learning how to do the "Exploit" of giving inter-racial hairstyles (a wookie i know from ahazi still runs around with her zarbak horns). Around january, i switched over to bria so i could take up a combat class. This time, being lazy, i macroed image designer in a day, but never intended to drop it like so many hologrinders did.

On bria, i was poor. Being poor isn't good, and i found these fourms and happened to find a pricing guide. I fleshed it out greatly (theed local compared to what i made is like a shanty to the chrysler building), and created my union. Then the patch came, and about 50% of my union dropped their tattoo needles, botox, combs, and jump ropes. During that time, on patch day, my wealth from 500k (before the patch, all from ID)to 3 times that. However, ID lost some of its fun, where people would allow me to give them my view of what they should be. We were also forced to work in tents (which came out of nowhere) and had to migrate people's stats for them... forcing us to work with the l33t d00ds (and we all have delt with them). Now, unable to pay my bills, i've been forced to pick a combat profession over one of the two entertainer professions i hold dearest: Musician and Image designer. Every day i see more and more new image designers who are just trying to get through it before their holocrons, and taking business away from those who need it most. Unlike buffbots, there is no way for me to deal with the hologrinders.

Kwee, you have to be one of the best correspondant's i've encountered in this game (all the entertainer correspondants have really). Most every time a dev wanted to do something to us, you were there lobbying for us. But the patch left a bad taste in my mouth, along with several non-id's who came to the logical conclusion that Ralph Forrester will never play as an Image designer, because the stat migration "fix" for the xp problem is just absurd. I see image designer as a chance of a profession being great being ruined by gross incompetence in many areas (no, the GUI is great, the secure payment is great, some of the holoemotes are wonderful, but the tents, the timer... what were they thinking?).

Its been a pleasure to know and work with all of you, even if we have never met in game. As i look back, i have no regrets with what I did. Maybe time will give me no regrets about dropping this nobel profession.

Yep, can't pass by a salon without seeing somebody offering to ID for free. It's a shame for those who must rely on it to make credits. I would have dropped your other skill however and held onto id. It would have been easier/faster to relearn after all the hologrinding is over with. Hope you have fun with tka, I hate melee hehe.
