Hello -
I have seen some of the cool things Image Designers can do (and it will make a nice addition to my tailor business)...
But...
It took me 6 hours to get ID 4 in the entertainer tree ... and that was with a friend helping.
I mean I mastered tailor in6 hours from novice artisan.
Am I doing something wrong?
And what is the best way to progress up the skill trees?
Any other tips?
Thanks in advance

You're doing it correctly, I'm pretty sure. Other threads all over this forum will attest.
The grind to Novice ID will be crummy for you, but at Novice ID you get the ability to Stat Migrate, which will give you 2000 xp in ten minutes' time. During which, apparently, you can craft, so maybe you can sell someone a new outfit while they're getting rearranged.

Yep.. you can craft while IDing and/or being IDed. Rather handy when I was getting Master Tailor.
There's very little you can do to speed up the mastering process. As Rrowann said, at Novice you get stat migrations and then it will a little bit faster for you. What I've heard has been rather common is starting up one of the 14-day trial accounts and sitting that sucker in the Salon with you and IDing them over and over and over. I guess if you're grinding using stats, you'd have to do it on another person anyway.
Am I coherent? It's early ...

6 hours to ID 4 is actually a good time... I needed about 10-12 hours to get there and esepcially ID4 (and then Novice ID) were a pain to get. But this is the pace we currently earn out XP at. Ok it gets faster once you hit Novice ID. So you didn't do anything wrong there.
And a heartly welcome to our nice comunity
May the Force be with you all!
