I just posted a petition on the Armorsmiths board that would help you people a lot. I don’t believe it was ever intended to allow people to wear Armor over their Base stats just by getting Buffs. It simple was never a problem until now. They are looking at ways to Nerph Armor because it has just gotten way out of hand. As an Armorsmith I simple Crank out high level Stun Armor and with a good Eff slice they get close to 90%. This stuff weighs a ton and the only way it can be worn is with buffs. They could very easily set it so you couldn’t wear Armor over your base stats and this would mean everyone would constantly have to come to you to change their stats to match their armor. I believe this would give a huge boast to your profession.
So please come over and sign this petition.

But you forget one thing, for a lot of IDs stat migrations are the parts of our profession that we don't enjoy, and in fact many actively avoid.
I for one would prefer not to encourage any system that means that I get even more "l33t" combat types treating me and my profession like static stat terminals.

While I thank you for the offer, I really don't need more stat migrations. You know, they're really boring.

Well thats a sad day for Armor then. If you read what I wrote there is alot of other reasons for this. I dont belive they ever intended to let people wear Armor over thier base stats just by getting buffs. Armor Nerphs are coming because they just cant keep lettting Armor get better and people wearing tanks just because they get Buffs. if this is something you dislike just because its boring then it is a sad day. Maybe its something for newer IDs to do or maybe there is something different they could do for Stat Changes. but the bottom line is something needs to be done now before they start the Armor Nerphs.

Please don't take this as criticism of your idea, its not that we have any problemn with armorsmiths trying to get people to wear a variety of armour depending on the circumstances and maybe not wear armour all the time. In fact I'm sure most IDs would be more than overjoyed if something was done to cut down on the Composite Clone armioes walking around towns.
But please don't try to sell this on the back of more stat migrations being a good thing for IDs.
What most of the game population seems to forget is that this is not an ability that we ever asked for, its not one we were warned we were going to get (until it turned up on Test Centre a couple of days before the patch went live) and it is something that is so different to our normal play styles that very few of us enjoy doing it.
But please don't try to sell this on the back of more stat migrations being a good thing for IDs.

I enjoy doing stat migrations
it gives you 10 minutes to chat with a new person, and sometimes they even let you play with their look a bit
not to mention it is my main source of income at the moment.

I get plenty of opportunities to chat with other players, without a timer to force me. The money is good, though.

please do not sign this petition....this will ruin the game
you wont have enough points to equip the armor
my high end armor has 940 encumb to mind, if i spent all my points into mind just so i could equip this, my health encumb is 980 so i CANT spend enough points to be able to equip the entire suit
for example this is all i can do right now
400 health
400 strength
400 const
400 action
400 stamina
400 quickness
1100 mind
950 focus
950 willpower
that lets me equip my armor with buffs, but no brandy in me
imagine having to waste all your points so u could put your armor on, and having 1200 total mind after 2 brandy
thats what, 4 shots from a t21 till u die?
rifleman already own, why help them EVEN MORE
this is just another ploy, tricking u guys into helping something that will ruin alot of things
you wont have enough points to equip the armor

Well just remember that when they cut all Armor ressist to cap at 60% or less. That is the other option and its already in the works.
And again I stress that this is a perfect example of people just setting thier mininum stats on the secondary. Whey not just take them out becasue no one uses them. At least with my idea you could still get higher level Armor.
