Thread: Bugs are ruining my business.

The hair color issue was actually on the top of the list that I submitted to the developers last week.

Hair color actually does change, but only the "customer" can see it. In order for the rest of us to see it, the customer has to log out for five full minutes (long enough to completely time out - not just disappear). Most people just let it go though, and don't log out until they are finished playing for the day.

Sothe color does actually change, we just can't see it right away.

The main bug that buggs me (pardon the pun) is the one where you change someone's hair and then the color changes and you try to change it back but you can't, it doesn't change.

If I change their hair and the color changes by accident, I try to change it back, but it doesn't work. So they're stuck with a hair color that they don't like, which, isn't good. So, they don't pay me because I didn't give them what they want. Some people are nice and pay me anyways but others don't. And it's just an annoying bug.

Also, I would like to bring the attention to another bug. I'm only level II ID uner the entertainer tree but I am supposed to be able to change markings, right? Wrong! I would go up to a Zabrak to change their markings or tatoo and nothing would appear in the menu...What's up with that? I thought maybe it was for Twi'leks so I tried that too, but again, it didn't work...Can someone please tell me what's going on?

Markings come much later. You won't be able to change those for a while. As for the hair color bug, actually what is does is, when a hairstyle is changed. The hair color will default to whatever the color is on the very left end of the bar. Now, when that happens, usually the customer won't even see the change, but everyone else will. This can easily be fixed, by changing hair color right? Nope, because hair color is bugged too, when changed, only the person who got the change done will see it. So if a customer's hair is brown and you change it to blonde, everyone else besides the customer, including yourself will see it as brown. Stupid bug, but itwill fix itself when the customer relogs.

I also warn my customers about this and tell them that if the color isn't correct when they log back in to give me a /tell and I'll fix it no charge. Not one has contacted me to fix the color. Everybody is aware how buggy the game is, and if you just make them aware of this specific bug my customers atleast seem to take it in stride.

Thanks everybody for answering my questions and explaining the bugs and what's wrong in detail because I just started doing ID and I'm not fully aware of all of the problems. Thank you I can now continue my business without worry and now know what to tell them on how to fix their hair color. For the Twi'lek eyebrows and male freckels I know nothing about because I can't do those changes yet, but I will watch out for them when I can. Thanks

Inform new customersof this bug before you start, almost every one of them won't care as long as the hair is fixed when they log in the next day. Offer a money back guarantee if it doesn't (because you know it will).

Also, 5 minutes may not be enough to have it change back, I've noticed my character sometimes actually stays in the game for over 30 minutes after I log out. I've seen this by grouping with someone and having them tell me when the char leaves the group, which is usually a long time after I have disapeared from view.

The bugs that bother me the most are the twilek eyebrow bug, and the male freckles bug.

I still find it ridiculous thata master image designer can't change the color of a Twi'lek's eyebrows. Why spend endless hours trying to reach master of a profession if you don't even have basic options open such as this. With as many bugs existing in the game right now, it amazes me that they're going to start charging us money to play. How many months of beta were they in? I would call this period more like "extended-beta-testing" at this point. I think if they enforced a free month or even a discounted monthly rate until they fix this massive amount of bugs that exists practically everywhere, people would stop complaining as much. Given that I know people will complain regardless of whether they pay or not, I think it would reduce the amounts of complaints. This may not prove to be true given the exessive amounts of impatient 13 year olds playing the game, but it is only a guess on my part.
