On our server, apparently Coronet is a hotbed of illegal hairdressing activity - it's open and notorious (and I really have seen only one cross-species hairdo outside that cantina). Last night I danced there for a few hours, and saw at least 10 people with cross-species hairdos (among which, humans with bothan 'dos - why??). People were saying things like "I love exploits" and "I'm the exploiter" in spatial chat. I got into a discussion with a non-exploiter which of course deteriorated into the stock "it doesn't hurt anyone because it doesn't affect combat" to which I responded "yeah.. ID isn't important, which is why you've traveled to my shop - twice - from Dantoine to Talus - for a change." He responded that *other* things were *more* important. /sigh. I don't think this is a debate we'll ever win. The problem is that now that the cat is out of the bag... even if this bug is fixed, people will be actively looking for ways to recreate it.

Other arguments include "but I could buy a wig IRL" and "the devs never said it was an exploit" and "it's called bad programming" or "well we need new hairdos" and "what do you care?"

I'm getting so discouraged I'm considering banning the exploiting ID's from my shop, but it probably will not solve anything, other than getting into yet another verbal sparring match.

Ironically - a different wookiee with lekku was militantly doing a "roll call" every few minutes to kick out any afk-tainers from the group. I guess we all pick our battles.

I think the whole problem here is a case of some people being way too **edit** about this... Yes I understand it is affecting your job, but if anything it's bringing more business to image designers...

I have visited your shop several times, but I am probably in the minority because about 9 out of 10 people on my freinds list still look the exact same way they did when they landed in their starting city.

Like I said last night, I have not used the exploit, I am happy with how I look now... however, I do not see it as badly as say a money dupe exploit, ora faction dupe exploit, or a AFK macro gunfighter standing outside Coronet.

I respect what you do, and greatly appreciate it, that's why I'm trying my best to keep my arguments civil about this... I just don't see the reason for getting so upset about it.

It's it an immersion thing for me. I dislike seeing wookies with lekku for the same reason many people dislike seeing everyone running around with a pet- it spoils even the tiniest suspension of disbelief any of us may have had. The little trick about neon hair colors didn't bother me so much, mainly because it's completely conceivable that hair dye of every color exists in the star wars reality. A wookie with lekku, though? A rodian with horns? Blue-skinned humans? It's visual pollution as far as I'm concerned. On the bright side, it does make it easy for me to know who to avoid, but it's irritating nevertheless. Call me a purist, or even a b*tch, but this kind of thing combined with playercities named "B3wbage Town" have my finger teetering over the 'cancel subscription' button.

The more blatant the better in my opinion,,I actually wish they would talk about that exploit even more,,,that way it just might get fixed faster,,,

Why? Just because it isn't affecting YOUR profession doesn't mean it's not important.

By that argument - if wookiees can slap on a wig - then give us the ability to make wigs! I would be totally ok with that - but it's not in the game.

We have to deal with the fact that we don't have the abilities we want, and stopjustifing exploits because we feel (rightly I might add) that we deserve those abilities.

neon hair colors???!!

just to make more of an arguement......

wookies could strap on fake lekku, twilleks COULD wear a wig, Mon cals could strap on fake horns....

since when did SWG become real life? Im confused at the whole rationality behind this childish battle.....and its SERIOUSLY affecting my gameplay..

At first I was sick of seeing these people and I totally agreed. But after seeing alot of the people using the exploit acting more mature then the ones complaining ive given up caring about it anymore. Obviously the Devs dont care or they would have at least taken 2 seconds to warn people about it.

/ban everyone
