Ok plain and simple, XP timer in ID should not have come out until after holo grinding became pointless. Some of us are behind, and trying to catch up, some of us have a huge hope we will get Jedi, some of us want to feel we accomplished smoething, just to say we did it.

Everyone who got to do ID in 45 minutes, as opposed to it now taking 6 days of non stop play assuming no problems come into line. How is that fair?

Its not.

Get rid of the timer and put it back when the jedi publish which puts back the hero of tat quest is released.

Plain and simple, even the playing field for everyone or its simply not fair.

I dont have a second account or computer, i dont have 75 million credits to pay someone to let me grind on them, i work and go to schoo, i dont get to play as much as most.

It simply should be fair.

I let it slide when i lost alot of XP to various things. I let it slide when my house dissappeared that had 8 months of me and 3 friends stuff in it, i let alot of stuff slide, but this isnt just me, its tons of people, and its just not fair.

please get rid of the timer until holo grinding is totally obsolete.

And as i end every post with.

SOE, its not to late to make a roleplaying server. We will move to it trust me.

Excuse me... I was under the impression that this ID minipublish was announced ahead of time. It's not fair, you're right. It's not fair that people like me had to be broke as image designers for months before the publish. It's not fair that thousands of people now flock to the profession after it becomes useful and essential. It's not fair that those of us who worked for the profession now have to listen to idiots like you who didn't master the prof before the publish. That's not fair!

Maybe you should have tried ID at launch, pre-patch when there was zero economy, we all had 250 credits, you had to run delivery missions for your training money, no macros, no xp for self ID, and finding a client who wouldsit with you for more than 3 minutes to practice was like finding a needle in a cornfield. Total time to master id then was one month of nothing but id work 6+ hours a day, 7 days a week. And you whine about a little timer now? Go blow your nose and wipe your tears...

Kellindell - By your argument...

What about all the other professions that got to do all those crazy things before I managed to try it out? Those weren't fair changes either!! Like they nerfed CH before I got it - all those people that had CH before got to do so many cool things and their pets were so much more powerful! But not me! That is not fair! And factories - they used to give full xp so all someone had to do was a run of items in thier factories to master any artisan profession in a flash. And poor me, I had to click through all those boxes. Not Fair! Not Fair! Not Fair!

wah wah wah

I knew what was coming, I did my research and I advised everyoneI knew to grind ID before the changes.

The timer does seem very harsh and imo should be reduced as a matter of urgency (not removed though) but It was announced before hand and people were aware of the amount the timer would slow down ID progression

First off, im sorry i dont have alot of time to play this game. I barely have time to actually play it let alone go research things for it. I had heard changes were coming, but i had no idea what they were. And thier wasnt an indication it was going to change this drastically.

You tell me to stop whining, but all you did was whine yourself about how hard things were for you. Isnt that hypocritical?

Also, thier is a difference between a bug getting nerfed, and a design flaw. Slow blooming jaxs, creating money from nowhere ( i just found out about that one now) and all the other various bugs and exploits are just that, bugs and exploits, those need to be handled right away.

But ID coming so fast is a design flaw, the devs made it that way and watched it be that way for a long time. What im saying is was to make it fair the devs should have waited until holo grinding was totally over.

The other night we finally got our first holo, and gave it to my friend, he plays the most out of all of us, and he pulls ID. Figuring he will start in the morning, wel the enxt day the patch was put it. TO be honost i didnt even know ID took 45 minutes, if i did i would have done it before i went to bed that night for the heck of it.

The other thing is, getting the XP for this class is terribly BORING. i pay to play a game, not to get extremely bored. And even so, i can deal with that...but what do you gain from it? Thier are at least 3 IDs i see in theed on my server doing everything for free, and even if they werent no really ever highers anyone except a master.

So while progressing you cant make any money.

You also dont get to do anything intereseting, or even observe the world around you AT ALL. At least with entertainer stuff you can set a macro and then talk to people, look around the room , examine peoples bio's....you know EXPERIENCE THE GAME. With ID you get to do absolutley nothing, and seemingly on purpose they made it so you cant macro the class either, as far as i can tell. SO i actually would have to sit thier and do nothing but left mouse click every minute and a half. How is that even remotley fun?

Its not. And the beauty of SWG is freedom to move around in classes...who would ever drop this class and regain it ever? One thing i like about holo grinding is it allow you to experience the entire game.

For instance in the 9 profs or so i have done, i have found that some classes i always thought id want to be, i didnt like. And im glad for that. But in the process by luck of the draw we pulled ID, and since the holo grinding race is still on, its only fair we get the same chance as everyone else.

No no, you forget one thing. Just clicking isn't enough. The server then will think you are a bad afker and gives you the boot. No you need to move around some times, you need to have a walk or chat a little. Or you get the boot.

Or you can make a sit/stand macro to run, so you can indeed just click over and over again, and not get the boot. Appearantly clicking screens is according to the game not being active.

Joy!

The game thinks you are AFK while running in straight lines too. ( Like, directlytowards waypoints. )

When you are closing shop on SWG, remember that you ignored the REAL community to cater to an alpha class that assured this game would never be "balanced."

o.O The game never ceases to amaze me. How fortunate we are not to have running ID sessions in straight lines. Imagine that.

Oh, and how nice it is to have a client LD as the timer for stat migrationis abuot to run out. weee! Next time I'll try and advice them to move about so they don't get a boot, see if it helps. Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Just a thought:

was it fair to me who took 3 months to master ID, mostly working on myself for 1/4 the xp without any spice or food? Was it fair to me, without any masters to teach me skills, without any Mind empowering Vasarian Brandy or Canape?

The nature of MMO's is change. It's one of the reasons people invest in them. Was it fair for a friend of mine who spent a month and a half of fighting elementals to finally Grandmaster Parry in UO, when the next day there was a bug introduced where sparring with a cat would let you GM Parry in a matter of hours? No. Was it fair that the chef revamp allowed ID to be mastered in an exceptionally fast amount of time? No.

Always the masters? Why? Because the masters here have been masters for a long time, and care about the profession as much as, and likely more than others.

Remaster ID? No problem, I'll start on it tonight. I doubt it will be much different from the first time I did it. Why? Because Tobie' had 800 400 400 in mind, and it takes a long while for it to recoup after adjusting eye color the 15 times until his mind was gone. Oh, that was adjusting it on myself, lots of xp there.

Now I'd just like to make a comment on one thing while I'm here. It's kind of important I think at least..

Nothing worth saying can be said in one sentence.

So how do you have time to hologrind 30+ professions but you dont have time to grind ID? I would think that even a casual gamer could not master a combat profession in less than 3 weeks. You said you dont have alot of time? My suggestion, wait for the jedi trials, thats what they are designed for, the casual gamer.

I don't really care about hologrinders, the whole concept is horrible.

Its real ID'ers trying to get to master who are the most suffering. Hologrinders live to suffer, it's their lot in life.

And I did half of ID at launch and it was no picnic, about as bad as any other crafting profession, but the timers are FAR worse.
