I'm an image designer on Lowca (one box away from novice, so I'll be there in a month
) and I offer my services at a reasonable price. Essentially the only thing I charge for is stat-migrations, holoemotes, and more than three changes (or annoying customers).
In my barking spiel I offer discounts for new players, novice entertainers, and for my GCW faction mates. Compared to most ID's on Lowca I'm relatively cheap on stat migrations (and I usually do them for free for new players who can't afford it), but for my opponents in the GCW I charge about 5k more than I do for neutrals and 10k more than I do for my fellows. I inform them of this when they ask for migration.
So far I've only had about 5 members of this faction ask me for a migration, one of them was ok with paying it, three of them cursed at me for it, and one of them stood outside the id tent for thirty minutes cursing my name and informing all the passerby's what a no-good stinking *explitive deleted* I am.
Now I'm not a combat related person, I have another character on a different server that I do for combat, I play my image designer solely for social interaction and credits which I use to support my player city. I do this more so I can give discounts for my friends and feel a part of the GCW.
My question is whether or not this is truly wrong? Personally I've never had anyone of my faction complain, but that's hardly an indication considering the response I've been getting from my opponents.

I don't see it as being wrong—you're doing your part in an escalating conflict. On the other hand, of course those being raked over the coals are going to object…couple that with the animosity caused by the removal of stat migration from the playerbase at large and you have your explanation for why someone took the time to curse your name for half an hour.

Until the ID mini publish, I never had a policy about this. I've ALWAYS done this for dancing and doctor buffing (when I was a doc). I'm Imperial, and my policy is: no self-respecting Imperial is going to do anything that will even remotely help the Rebellion. Therefore, I do not buff Rebels. Period. End of story. Now, with the stat migration it's a little different. I might do stat migration for Rebels, but I'll charge more. My price for stat migration is 20k, and that includes any ID/holoemotes the person may want done as well. I may charge 25k for Rebels, and if they don't like it they can find another ID.
This is a topic that I've seen come up many times in other professions. For non-combat oriented folk that still have chosen a faction, it's hard for other people to understand how we feel justified in doing this. But like I said, I will never do anything that will help members of the Rebellion kill my friends and guildmates. Stat migration generally doesn't fall under that category, but since I AM an Imperial, I think it's reasonable that I will charge more for Rebels. If the people on your server don't like it that you do this, tell them they can find another ID.

Don't worry about it.
Just as you shouldn't worry if a rebel happens to watch/listen to you perform and recover BF/mind wounds.
Consider it as a means to gain contacts, influence, and information on the opposing faction.

You should feel comfortable doing your pricing however you see fit
I hope you reported that awful person to customer service?
