I see people in here are a bit touchy with hologrinders so lets get this out of the way.

No, I'm not a hologrinder, yes I want to do this. Why? Because my second character is to become a shipwright when Jump to Lightspeed is released, and so he's not sitting around with skill points to spare I thought a Master Image Designer would best benefit me and my PA.

So, with that out of the way, what is truely the best/quickest way to become a Master Image Designer?

Second account? If you can multibox you're set to master in ~60 to 70 hours.

Set both up in a Salon out of the way somewhere, and just start performing ID on your other character, switching to accept at the appropiate intervals.

I'd suggest sticking to the most basic change you can make each time, becuase the XP/time ratio seems to be the same, but it may be "more convienant" for you to simply grind through enabling Stat Migration once you reach Novice [so you have 10 minutes of stuff to do].

You will probably need an anti-afk/idle macro to be running as well, check some posts here for that, or the Game Guides forum. If you decide to grind with Stat Migration, you most likly will need an anti-afk/idle macro running.

I'd also suggest doing it in bursts over a period of time, instead of trying to grind it out all at once. That'll just frustrate you more at the this point in time .

Working IN THE TENT on a willing victim:

Minor Cosmetic Changes (Hair Color, Hair Style, Cosmetics, Fur Color, Holoemotes etc): 1 minute for 100 xp.

Body Changes (Eye Color, Chin/Lip/Mouth/Nose/etc Adjustments etc): 2.5 minutes for 300 xp.

Stat Migration: 10 minutes for 600 xp.

A little math: 2.5 minutes x 4 = 10 minutes and 300 xp x 4 = 1200 xp

Don't bother doing Stat Migrations if you are trying for the best xp return. Not only will you get less xp, but that 10 minutes wait is WAY too long to sit watching a timer for such a small return. Even if you only do 3 Eye Color changes in a 10 minute period, you will still get more xp than if you do Stat Migrations. Personally, I have Artisan as well and have taken to filling the waiting time by crafting things.

Hmm, mind blur, yea, Body changes is best. I had a math confusion in my head when I wrote that [10min base for SM, but kinda forgot that 'base' for SM always includes Salon benefit].

My mistake .

Is it possible to craft things while waiting for timer to finish?

For Sales while advancing or just to finish the grind?

For Sales: Hair -> Face -> Body/Tatoo [equal].
For grind: it don't matter none.
