The table below looks pretty in Word, promise
I scratched the combat role part since I talk about stat migration throughout and our only combat related wish list items fall under GCW (thank you to Sir Voor, jhara_daran, and BellaDanca for their input). For the GCW part I used what we have in the State of the Profession thread, plus ID factional tattoos which Sir Voor reminded me have been often requested. I also threw in the brief explanations on some of our top issues as well as the issues themselves (all can be found in the State of the Profession thread), as I had to turn the top five issues list into TH(he allowed me a delay to see how our minipublish panned out, it was actually due a few weeks ago). Feedback is certainly welcomed though I'll already have submitted this.

List of ID abilities and what they involve:
Aesthetic abilities
·Measurements – e.g. height, nose length, lip size
·Palettes – e.g. eye color, eye shadow, horn color
·Patterns/styles – e.g. eyebrows, hairstyles, lekku patterns
·Measurements – e.g. height, nose length, lip size

Fun – These abilities are why we all choose the ID profession. We can exercise our creativity while socializing and helping others. And of course we enjoy ID’ing ourselves.
Not fun – The aesthetic timers (1-5 mins) when self-ID’ing are not fun. We have been able to change our lip color or eye color for example within a few seconds for several months now, and now even Master ID’s have to wait through a 1 to 2 ½ minute timer for a little change to go through when outside a tent(where we frequently are). There are mixed reports on the aesthetic timers for customers. The more experienced ID’s say they often finish with a customer well before the timer is up and they spend the remainder of the time bored if the customer is not chatty. Others are pleased with the timer often encouraging customers to try more things than they otherwise would.
Useful – Our aesthetic abilities are all very useful to those who want them. All of our missing abilities have now been restored, and many bugs fixed.
Not useful – Many of our more combat oriented customers request tattoos or scars, and when they find out we can’t provide them are not interested in any other service. In general, the more options we have to offer players, the more useful our abilities as a whole become.
The clothing bug is one that makes aesthetic abilities difficult or impossible to do. The UI will show what a person was wearing some time ago and sometimes it is a helmet covering the entire head. This also presents problems for when customers want a look matched to an outfit.
Holo-emotes
Fun/not fun – There are mixed feelings here. Many have put holo-emotes to interesting use such as in entertainer performances or as signals in combat, others say they break their feeling of immersion.
Useful/not useful – Their popularity has definitely dropped from the initial demand, like all things new. Some ID’ers are beginning to throw them in for free because customers do not often wish to purchase them. ID’s still very much want the particle effect that were originally in the works – hair accessories, glitter, streaks, etc. and feel they would have a long lasting appeal.
Stat migration
Fun – Some ID’s enjoy having a combat related ability
Not fun – Some ID’s do not enjoy having a combat related ability. The ten minute timer is almost universally disliked. Customers often afk leaving the ID feeling not like a social profession at all. The bulk of ID work for many ID’s is now stat migration and while they benefit from the pay, a handful of customers takes up an hour of their gameplay. Another common complaint is the fact that we do not actually select the stats (just push a button), and that can leave one with the feeling of being a stat migration NPC terminal.
Useful / not useful – Only comment here is that many players do not know how the process works. A loading screen focusing on stat migration how-to would help some.
Top 5 recommendations to making the profession more fun
Top 5 recommendations to making the profession more fun
1/ Allow exp to stack when working on customers AND provide an exp bonus; would require a way for the game to detect when working on someone for the first time that day (make actual game-play more rewarding exp-wise than exp grinding on self or a second account). If not, a way must be found to make the current exp progression enjoyable.
2/ Cut the stat migration timer to 5 minutes, with the other 5 minutes on the customer
3/ Remove the timer for Masters when self-ID’ing and/or outside of tents
4/ Up the exp provided by cosmetic/body abilities (it’s what we love to do, only fair)
5/ Add more aesthetic art content (our bread and butter, and what we love to do)

Very nicely done, Kwee. The only thing I would suggest—not complain about, suggest
—is that a word be included about the manner in which timers were implemented. Something along the lines of:
Not fun: Image Design is, at present, the only profession in which a timer is implemented before an action is allowed to be taken. Crafters are allowed to craft their goods and then wait for them to complete. Medics are allowed to heal and then must wait before healing again. Combat professions are allowed to execute a special attack and then must wait before performing another. Even the new armor/qeapon equipping system allows the first item to be equipped before forcing a wait on the next. The only system even remotely comperable is the entertainer buff system—however, entertainer buffs are an ongoing process during which players are constantly active. In many cases this is not true of Image Designers. We would request that the timer be measured from /image to /image, rather than from /image to commit in order to minimize "forced" down time and to increase enjoyment of the profession.
(I know, I know, I said I didn't believe it'd do any good to be thoughtful and constructive and I didn't want to waste my time…but I'm enduring "forced downtime" at work and I've got nothing better to do
)

Well I think that's a rather good idea actually. You could get out of that tent, catch some sunlight, breathe some fresh air, kill someone. Not a bad idea at all.

How about a 0 time, 0 XP option for self ID for when you just need to change your own lipstick or eyeshadow color? I'm master Entertainer and the only thing I do with ID is my own makeup and waiting for the timer is ridiculous when I couldn't care less about the XP I get from it.
Good luck with your wish list, it sure would be nice if the DEVs start paying a little attention to the social professions.

Sir Voor, the GCW was taken from the SotP, with the addition of factional tattoos.
No timers for Master ID's outside of tents or when self-id'ing is mentioned in at least acouple of places.
