I was talking to another ID one noght when it was slow and we actually started talking abou t how we do get some disdain from other profs that all we do is sit there and make money and not have to spend any on resources W eactually came up with some simple ways we can rely on a few other professions to do our job. Have some certian professions make us items we need to do some tasks for example:
Hair stylings and Cuts : a pair of scissors made by artisan( most likely the eng line)
Hair/Skin color changes : dyes/tanning oils made by novice bio engineer
Augmentations/Body work : silicone ( aka implants) made by novice droid engineer
tgere are ther options but these are a few we came up with. I would like to hear some comments positive and negative.

That's true that we don't have a great deal of interdependance from other classes.
However, no other class *really* needs us.
I think it's part and parcel of us being an Entertainer Professions. Dancers and Musicians don't 'need' any componentsto do their jobs either.
It's crafting professions that depend on class interdependence. We're a vanity class. We're just here to make you look and feel good about yourself. We're neither needed, nor do we need others.

I agree with the previous poster that we are a stand alone class and the way I see it that's just fine the way it is. Personally I don't like the crafting professions all that much - especially the resource gathering is just not for me. Things like dye and implants (I would not care for droid engineer created stuff to be stuffed into my body) would be single use only to make sense (or a couple of uses) in any case, we would need to keep buying/harvesting resources, and this would make our services more expensive for our customers. A lot of customers feel we're being too expensive already (1k for a tattoo change, is that so unreasonable?) so I think we should do little to alienate our customers further.
If we would need resources or tools or whatever for stat migrations though, that could be viewed by the player base as a justification of charging money for that - God knows they are quite unmoved by our arguments that 10 minutes of our time is worth money too.

Glad to get some feedback on htis . I guess maybe it is not a good idea after all . I agree with you on the fact some people dont think that 10 minutes of your time is worth anything. I myself don't have set prices for 2 reasons: 1) those that sctually have the money tend to tip alot more for the most part and 2) newbies cant affore 5-10k for a migrate. I do at times do them for free or even a few credits. I just hope they someday fix the window interface bugs

What I charge depends on my mood, but for stat migrations it's always 15k. If I do em for less, I'll be doing nothing but stat migrations. People who don't like it, can go somewhere else.
