Thread: Mon Cals after the ID revamp

I just started a new Mon Cal on a new server and thought I could get some cool new skin colors/markings after the ID revamp. But the skin colors still seem pretty much the same as before the revamp. Was anything added for Mon Cals?

Answer: Not to my knowledge. I thought there was new skin colors, but I'm not a Master ID, so I couldn't check.
Diplomatic Answer: The Image Design Revamp included many significant new features making the Image Designer class important and compelling to the Galaxies in which they ply their trade. Many new colors, and serveral long standing bugs were squished, as well as the addition of new items, such as Holoemotes, and Image Designer Tents.
Honest Answer: We're busy citizen, move along.

I was light blue with light green markings. Now im dark grey with some sick neon green markings. Yes there are some new ones for mon cals.

Cool, so I guess I would like to know if dark grey is the darkest you can go? Or is there a "black"?

Oops! Sorry for appearing rude!
You asked about the ID revamp, and what the Mon Calamari race got with it. I gave you my Answer in the 'Answer' section, that is: I think your race got new skin colors, and almost certainly new eye colors, come to think of that.
In the 'Diplomatic Answer' I gave you the answer that has been given to us by the Devs. I realize now that unless you were familiar with what I was talking about.. (obviously not, or you wouldn't have asked the question because you would have known the answer) you might have thought I was being taunting. I apologize. I only meant it as a funny non answer that we get from higher up quite often, since the Diplomatic answer does nothing to answer your question.
In the Honest Answer, I was representing Dev's honestly answering your question. Again, only funny if you've been involved in the current controversy, which umm.. you obviously aren't or you wouldn't have asked the question. So I apologize if I seemed rude. It wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the ID community, as a spoof.
So anyway, now that I've completely embarrassed myself, umm.. Just read the 'Answer' Section of my original post. I intended no harm, sorry.

So does anyone know for sure if grey is the darkest color possible for Mon Cals?

If you happen to be on the tempest server come to theed and look for Venoch, I can check for you, see if there is a black or if dark grey is it.

Yes, Mon Cals got what one MID told me is a "Full Palette" all the way from a sickly white to (I'm not sure what the darkest color is). I learned this when I took one of my Mon Cals on Corbantis in for a color redo (I decided that I had made her too dark). I wasn't too impressed with the eye color options though. I wanted bright blue eyes and the closest I got was a dull blue.
It seems to me that an awful lot of the color options are very dull. Wookie and Bothan fur colors are the worst, what I see on my palettes for them are mostly shades of grey... and while I can't do skin yet, from the looks of the greyed out palette Trandoshans mostly get shades of green. Ssumidra (my Trandoshan ID on Bria) is a deep red, and it looks like the shades of red available at creation are the only options available unless you want your Trandoshan to be green or grey.

Looks like midnight blue is the darkest Mon Cal skin color. All palettes now have 256 colors for Masters.
Looks like midnight blue is the darkest Mon Cal skin color. All palettes now have 256 colors for Masters. I have noticed that eye color on Mon Cals and Trandos seems to suck up the color, kind of like hide clothing does for Tailors. Must be a texture/light reflection thing.
