Some MID left the game. Other's dropped MID in persuit of Force Sensitivity.

No one is willing to grind for several months to make it to MID due to the slow progression.

Are there any plans tochange this situation?

1/ stand as the last ID on your server

2/ raise the fee of stat migration to insane levels

3/ profit

for me, the fewer ID, the better, i like to be a part of the chosen few. but i'm an isensitive clod.

There seems to be about 12 - 20 MID at any one time on my server. Maybe more in the guilds... I am one of the few public MID's...

Nice to know I am more rare then Jedi lol

What faces the master ID staying in the tent after mastering is the fact what apeals to the character changes. Suddenly the climb to mastery is over and there is nothing for them in the tent anymore except statmigration and we all know how much we love statmigration.

I recently came back to the tent after fleeing to all the pois, the content areas and becomming glowy, then ultimatly finding my way to the village on dath.

Give it time. give it time. once the majority of people reach the village and find out the profession grinds was soooooo much easier and once you convert your experiance you leave more force sensative but.. you are hollow again, Hollow from the loss of your banked exp. And tha hollow feeling gets refilled once you sit down raise your rates and begin to pound back the stat migrations again. I find as a master ID you can take a regular stattie and talk them into more ID changes than they need. the key to selling the ID is to hit them up with the sattement:

"The stat will take ten minutes, Is there any character changes you might be interested in exploring?"

Then shut up. The next to talk gets the ID changes.

If they say "no, just the stat please." then you can comment on the fact they are in full armor and it wouldn't work this time anyways. then proceed to exaime thier looks from the configured settings, then you can comment and suggest and or compliment them on thier current selection.. 9/10 they remove thier helmut and begin to strut. next hook line and sinker suggest a off shade of thier eye colour and their hooked. once someone is ID'd they always return.

most popular replies have been:

Guys: slicked back and spikey hair, Black blue or white.

Girls: #1 can you make my chest bigger. #2 My nose is too big. #3 I want the shoulder length hair whispy in the front. (last hair selection)

With guys check thier mouth sizes and ears... these I find are always messed up... unless you like your hunk looking like Prince Charles.

But yeah there are less IDers these days. I still beleive they will return once they make it to tthe village and get despaired or They decide to become and Id to change thier looks them selfs.

Quite frankly, I'm proud to be part of such a select group of people. I think of us as the Marines but with a comb and scissors instead of a gun...."The Few, The Proud, The Image Designers"...

You know...I think I need to go lie down. That's probably the dorkiest thing I've ever said...rofl.

Regardless, I'm very happy with being a select group. Yes, on Flurry, there are VERY few image designers around most of the time...but the few that are around are able to keep up with the traffic most of the time. Actually, our tent in Coronet is almost always empty...Theed is the busiest salon on Flurry.

Oh well...my two creds, as usual,

Dan

As a glimpse of this I should tell about a recent 'bug' that appeared on TC a few days ago and got corrected again by now.

For a few days over the last weekend ID-timers were greatly reduced... even cut in half if I remember correctly... ít might have been a test or the devs accidently migrated those settings from their devellopment server which might mean they are playing around with new timer settings...

It can mean nothing or alot...

Just a little story from TC

I ADORE being so rare.

I really do. I love getting tells like "OMG YAY! I've been looking for an ID for ages!"

This means two things.

1. The person is usually so grate ful they pay double my asking prices.

2. They're very happy afterwards and I get that warm fuzzy " I dun a good ting!" feeling. ^_^

I love being rare and tend to squeel in glee when I learn some ID that was competition in Bestine has quit.

You know, on the nights where I don't feel like working, I do wish there were more regular masters I could refer people to, but I'm with Dan on this. I work out of Bestine most of the time, and while there will be maybe five Jedi there, I'm the only ID. Because of this, I sometimes get more attention than they do .

But seriously, I've always enjoyed standing out. First it was by being a male dancer, for a while it was simply by being a male Twi'lek. Being an ID seems like it will always make me an oddity.

I have to agree on both these issues. It really does feel good in the heart and pocket book.

My server is primarily PvP, even though I am a "rare commodity" I still tend to be verbally abused and have to haggle for payment. A PvP server entices those young bucks (who are still learning the value of a credit and what respect and decency to others) to come in and get out those teenage aggressions. Unfortunately, we all fall victim of their faux pas. /sigh What keeps me motivated is at least once a night, someone will come in and have the best personality!
