Hey, typing about turning someone blue who wanted to look like a cyborg dog reminded me of the column I did where I shared ID stories. A lot of you are new and I thought might enjoy reading some of the community's old ID stories. There's some really funny ones in there

FuschiaD, your old forum name was MUSoprano right? I saw I have a story from each forum name in the column.

Yeah, that is her old name. (I'll answer for her since she has seemed to have disappeared recently).

Hehe. Thanks Kwee. I loved reading that when I was just a fan-wookiee looking in to see if you had wookiee braids yet. Now that I am an ID myself they make me ever warm and fuzzier. 
Its funny to think how simple kindness really does matter. If someone is a jerk you won't enjoy the ID session no matter how well they tip. Whereas if someone is nice you will have fun, even if they can't tip at all.
While being an ID I have met a few jerks. I don't remember any of their names - even the ones I saw and still see night after night. But I remember all the IDs who have gone out of their way to be kind.
Ashinay who trained me for free and then ended up sticking around all night and feeding me 100s of thousands of credits worth of food and drink so I could get almost all the way to Master and be trained for free. She didnt even need the AP.
Zizz who was always so warm and sweet when I hung around Bestine, grinding out my final boxes, and eventually trained me in Master and hugged me. And who would always invite me to come along to Theed and hang with her.
And Daishiki in Theed who let my post-minipublish ID, Iosan, sit in her group and watch her interact with customers, which I was too shy to do yet myself.
I remember their names, what they looked like, and even what they were wearing. Very special people who taught me the patience and sense of fun I needed to be a successful ID. They taught me by example, rather than actual instruction. And of course the forum IDs, always ready with advice and full of inspiring ideas. I feel lucky to have known them.

I'm still around, justnot as much.Yeah, that was me I've juggled my ID character between my two girls so often, no wonder it's hard to keep track of who's my ID and who's not. I STILL get daily requests for a makeover from Avadiha. Makes me wish I could customize a holothingy to say "I AM NOT AN ID ANYMORE" and put it over Ava's head so people will stop asking her for work. Although, I was amused to have this conversation the other day:
person: Are you an ID?

The quip that amuses me the most on Kwee's article was from Fishwan (a poster I admired and laughed at frequently):
Client in cantina: Can you ID me?
Me: Sure. Did you know what you have in mind?
Client: Yes, I want you to fix my face
Me: What would you like to have changed?
Client: I keep grinning, I look like an idiot
Me: Type /mood none.
Client: Woot thanks!
Me: Sure.
Client: Do I tip you?
Me: Um, no.
Me: Sure. Did you know what you have in mind?
