The image designer is cool. But..... Its value is not game effecting imo.

Now here are a few things that could change it to Really make it effect the GCW and to have players storming to you.

You all know how TEF works temp enemy flag. Will there should be TCF temp cover flag. The image designer could put this on a overt member and it would cover his overt and allow the player to sneak in and make an attack then showing him overt pulling faction pets etc. This flag should not last long maybe only 20mins at most.

Also if used on a covert it would makehim seemneutral for a little bit and be able to go past senors etc.

One other thing I believe would bring the ID to a new high is if they could temp change a players name.

In most of the star wars books the entertainers where the best spy's. There should be spying and sneak attacks in game.

If your a ID and want to see anything like this than SHOUT IT!

They have something kinda like this on UO.... an actual disguise kit. Changes the character's name and appearance for X number of minutes. It's a very neat idea.

I and many others shouted for the ability to temporarily make people covert (by changing their appearance) on the ID beta forum and never got a dev response. Of course I got into beta in beta 3. Now and then someone mentioned that the idea had been tossed around early in beta though noone could remember or at least noone posted specifics. Apparently we were also once paired with tailor in the same skill tree. Personally being a tailor, I think it's a pity we ended up in the entertainer branch instead of artisan But of course that's my own bias.

I would much rather see IDs make disguise kits than makeup! Please please please please please please please please please please!

Okay, I feel better now. Here's my feeling on this:

Makeup and hair dye are really the only good craftable things we can make, but really, those are the purview of the entertainer, not the image designer. If we began manufacturing makeup, we'd take away business from Novice Entertainers who can provide this service already for people. Master IDs on all servers, raise your hands for the number of people who have come up to you asking for a change in eyeshadow or lipstick.

Me? I've never had anyone request an eyeshadow or lipstick change (except for my friend Tia'zi, she's in my PA). When I get ID requests, it's for the following things, in order of frequency --a) hairstyle/haircolor changes, b) extra height, c) extra muscle, d) extra weight, e) beards, f) red eyes for humans [d'oh!], g) human tattoos [double d'oh!], h) and everything else. Never, never, never for eyeshadow.

Also, creating a disguise for a covert is a good way for IDs to get TEFs and get shot. How many of you master IDs have lots of health points? Also, we can perform ID on anybody from either side without faction restriction -- unlike trade, unlike healing. I wouldn't want to suddenly have to pick a faction in order to do someone's hair!

Disguise kits are a great way to bypass that, though. And they'd be a great product for us to sell.
