Hello there consultants and skin surgeons of the galaxies!

I wanted to commend you all because I browse these boards every once in a while, and talk with the 2 Master IDr's I know on Valcyn and it seems that you are all a strong community with much integrity towards your profession, and other players.

In that regard, I have given up chasing down my Master COmbat Medic skill for a little while to actually have some fun with the points I still have. I have taken Novice Entertainer (and since i could find no volunteers) I worked through the first box on my own hair coloring.

My question is, "Is there a good, safe way to make experience without completely messing up my own image?"

I only play 2 nights a week and I'm not looking for a cure all AFK macro, just some advice, and maybe a basic macro I can activate while socializing, or perhaps while waiting for people to come into the med center? It's an awful lot of clicky-clicky to try and chat with people while changing your own hair color.

I know I could also give a newer character 2k or so for about 15 minutes of thier clicking time, but money isn't my largest resource. Any advice would be helpful.

Unfortunately there is no good macro for us to use. I know some used /imagedesignsetvalue to get experience but it is buggy and mostly disabled now by the devs due to some exploits it was allowing. The only one I use is to pop up the first window. You make a macro that just has /im written in it and drag it onto a hotkey.

I pretty much got to Novice ID practicing on myself, I just did it while traveling, waiting for the shuttle, etc. After that I would get together with other ID'ers for hyperclick sessions where we would chat to get through the tedium. Working on customers alone will of course never get you to Master ID I would recommend picking up a focus drink (caf is one) and willpower food (k18 rations for example). These make an unbelievable difference. Focus makes each change take less mind to do, and willpower allows your mind to regen much faster. Be sure to get high quality food and drink as you eventually get full and won't be able to drink or eat but once every five or ten mins. So you want everything that goes into your mouth to count

Another tip is to line up all of your ID boxes so that you just click on one spot for everything. Lip color is one I did well into my ID career as it is very mind efficient. So you line up "Face" "Lip Color" "Commit" and "Accept" (for ID'ing with a friend). You can typically easily find someone to practice with in a cantina, either an Image Designer or someone trying to get to Master Entertainer. You should also check the Roll Call thread to see if any non master Image Designers are on your server that might like to practice

One last note. You may already know this but you don't actually ahve to change anything to get experience. Just leave the slider on the default setting (what you already have) and click commit.

Ah I see you are a zabrak. That means that like my friend Escia (FishWan) you have insane amounts of willpower and focus naturally You can probably go beyond lip color and not run out of mind too quickly. I would still recommend trying to find mind efficient things to do. I know we would throw in freckles often for example
