Thread: How to cancel existing ID offer?

Hi 
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this one for me. My wife decided that she no longer liked the way that she looked, since we've handed in our blasters and swords a while back to pursue less combat orientated classes I decided to head off down the road of Image Designer.
So far things have been a lot of fun Anyway, this morning we are playing about trying to find a new look for her. After a while of changing things left and right I log and go make us some breakfast. Returning we eat, log back in and when I try to /image her I get message saying that 'she has an existing ID off'

Returning we eat, log back in and when I try to /image her I get message saying that 'she has an existing ID off' We've spent most of the morning trying various things, ALT, CTRL etc to try and find the lost window, not too mention every slash command we could think of to decline the existing offer.
Eventually she logged a CSR ticket for it and went off to play with her cat, I figured I'd post here as I'm sure someone must have come across it before.

This is a common bug, and is mentioned in at least one thread in the stickied posts. The only surefire way of getting rid of this bug is waiting for the server reset. Not really a threatening issue, but it is annoying.

I had a quick look over the sticky's and couldn't see it there. We'll just have to spend our day dancing, chef'n and singing instead.

Just so you know, server resets don't happen every day. Logging out long enough for your character to reset (about a half hour) should do the same thing.

Sometimes, if you're very lucky, you can type /imagedesigncancel and it'll work…but generally if you incurred the bug from a macro that went off too fast it won't work.

The best I can do is to tell you how to prevent this. This might not be the only thing, but just be sure that after you offer someone a style, that you let the accept close the ID interface, don't click the X. It has worked for me.

There is a trick to fixing this. Works every time.
If your friend has the existing offer:
- Press ctrl+1
- type /im
- click on your friend, and type /imagedesignSetValue xxxxx (xxxx being a command)
- have him/her/it click accept, and you should be fine
If you have the existing offer:
- click on someone else in your group, doesn't matter who
- type /im
- press ctrl+1 and type /imagedesignSetValue xxxxx
- Click accept when it comes up and you are fine

That isn't a surefire thing, Flash. It has never, ever worked for me.
Of course, I suspect I'm somehow doing it wrong...

I just have to ask because you're not the first person that says you can't find info on the outstanding offer bug in the FAQ. In the FAQ thread, there is a link right at the top called "FAQ for Image Designers", and it's in there. Is that not an obvious enough location?

While it isn't a surefire fix, it does work most of the time. However there are some people it just won't work for. At that point I'm pretty sure a server reset is the only fix.
