Thread: Why don't female avatars have navels?

I know this sounds like a dumb question from somone with way too much time on their hands, but I've been wondering about this for a while. Why do male characters have navels but the female ones don't? Yeah, the girls have those tiny little barely-visible-except-in-bright-light dots that I guess are supposed to be navels, but why not more visible ones? I actually avoid having my character wear anything that leaves her midrif bare. It just looks too weird. Is this something the art deparment can fix, and if so, why haven't they yet? Am I the only one who's noticed this?

in the 1960s (and before) females were required to cover their navels for TV. It was considered risque (sp). That may be the same logic here, but I doubt it because of the amount of "skin" they get to show!

We don't have time to discuss this in a committee.

I appreciate your comments, Kaabezza, but considering the sexually permissive nature of our culture these days (not that there's anything particularly indecent about an exposed navel) I don't think the art department designed the female SWG model with that particular logic in mind. I mean, they saw fit to add those little curve lines beneath the buttocks, didn't they?

So we can't have belly rings.
