Thread: A set price for Stat Migration on Corbantis
So, I'm sorry, but we would really like to continue this discussion in THIS forum, because it could really be put in either place, and it's more tangiable for us to do it here. If you don't like it, just don't read it
I personally wouldn't object to a server set price list, why? Because I've run into one too many people complaining about my prices (which I raised to 25k when I noticed more than one Image Designer in the tent I hang out in charging that much).
I'm aware that newbies aren't able to afford high prices, but I've been playing this game since launch, and 25k isn'tvery hard to reach, you could do it in a day or two with just novice marksman doing newbie missions for a few hours. If you want something, go out and run a few missions! A doctor isn't going to lower his price for you just because you're a newbie who wants a buff, so why should we when our services last much longer and have a greater affect than a 3 hourbuff a doctor will charge 12k for?
Our time is worth something, and I'm sorry, you are very much entitled to charge 5k for stat migration, but many of us on Corbantis feel our time is worth more than that. If someone paid me 5k for a stat migration,my stomach would lurch. It's unfair to ask us to sit still for 10 minutes doing absoultley nothing other than staring at a big box and some stranger who wants our service, and isANGRY that they have to come to an image designer to advance their stats, let alone make them pay for something thatwas once free. It took longer, but at least before, it was free.
We're anunofficialPVP server, so we tend to get our fair share of the idiots around the tents. I'm sorry to say, but combat between players tends to attract the goons. Not all of them are rude, but yes, we do have some shining players that wouldn't be with us ifit weren't for the PVP. But you know,we're willing to put up withtheir crapas long as they give us what we're asking for. Will we serve them again if they mistreat us? No, we won't, and that's a customer ideal I think we can all abide by.
Also,I doubt a unified server pricewill stop customer loyalty, you get repeated customers from your good attitude and your friendlyness towards those who just happen to choose you, not just from your prices.

I encourage you to set whatever price you think is fair for 10 minutes of your time.
If people pay it, great!
If they think you charge too much, then they can look elsewhere. You aren't the only ID on your server, just the one that can start the process the soonest. Tell them if they change their mind, they can contact you, no hard feelings.
If they want it, but can't afford to pay, ask why they need it so badly.
> If it's to wear armor, ask them how they got the armor, then tell them that the same method will get them enough credits in a short time.
> If it's not for armor, then use your discretion. If you feel that they are tellingthe truth, then go ahead and give it to them for free if you like. I'm all for helping newbies, butbeware thepotential for you to be cheated here. Because people will do surprising things to save themselves a few bucks.
