I would like to propose a set standard for Stat Migration for Image designers on Corbantis, I am tired of hearing I can get it done for 5K or 10K. I have been to all the planets and have seen some Master ID's charging 30k to 50K with no complaints. So I would like to see a price somewhere in the middle, obviously a new character isnt going to have 50K to pay for a stat Migration. I would like to see a price of 25-30K, and if you want to give someone a break thats up to you.

I am looking for anyone's input into this.

thanks for reading.

This is something you really should be putting into the Corbantis forums. This forums is for issues that pertain to all servers.

First of all, yes, this does need to be on the Server forums for Corbantis. Second, I am a Master ID on Corbants, I currently charge 5k per Stat Migration. I personally feel 25k-30k is too high, for several reasons. I won't list them all here, but basically newbs can't afford it and they need it most, and that is more than I would pay myself. Now I know 5k is on the low side, but that's just what I feel like charging. I have nothing against charing more, charging what you feel is fair for your services, but I would be against a server-wide pricing, not only for stat migrations but for IDing overall. It removes loyalty from customers, and the ability to maintain abase of repeat customers if they know they can go to any ID and get the same rates and services. If you would like to group with some other ID's to set rates, great for you! But pleasedon't expect the entire server to be a part of it.

I'm a Master IDer on Corbantis, and this is a fine place to have a discussion, not to be rude or anything, but the Corbantis forums are NASTY, the people there are rude, and we'd be bombarded by non-image designers hyjacking our thread, complainingthat we charge anything at all.

So, I'm sorry, but we would really like to continue this discussion in THIS forum, because it could really be put in either place, and it's more tangiable for us to do it here. If you don't like it, just don't read it Thanks for understanding.

I personally wouldn't object to a server set price list, why? Because I've run into one too many people complaining about my prices (which I raised to 25k when I noticed more than one Image Designer in the tent I hang out in charging that much).

I'm aware that newbies aren't able to afford high prices, but I've been playing this game since launch, and 25k isn'tvery hard to reach, you could do it in a day or two with just novice marksman doing newbie missions for a few hours. If you want something, go out and run a few missions! A doctor isn't going to lower his price for you just because you're a newbie who wants a buff, so why should we when our services last much longer and have a greater affect than a 3 hourbuff a doctor will charge 12k for?

Our time is worth something, and I'm sorry, you are very much entitled to charge 5k for stat migration, but many of us on Corbantis feel our time is worth more than that. If someone paid me 5k for a stat migration,my stomach would lurch. It's unfair to ask us to sit still for 10 minutes doing absoultley nothing other than staring at a big box and some stranger who wants our service, and isANGRY that they have to come to an image designer to advance their stats, let alone make them pay for something thatwas once free. It took longer, but at least before, it was free.

We're anunofficialPVP server, so we tend to get our fair share of the idiots around the tents. I'm sorry to say, but combat between players tends to attract the goons. Not all of them are rude, but yes, we do have some shining players that wouldn't be with us ifit weren't for the PVP. But you know,we're willing to put up withtheir crapas long as they give us what we're asking for. Will we serve them again if they mistreat us? No, we won't, and that's a customer ideal I think we can all abide by.

To sum up, Itadmin, charge for my stat migrationwill be 25k. I don't think we expect to get the entire Corbantis server to agree with this price. Because in fact, most of the people in Theed have been charging 50k or more, and I doubt they'd like to take a paycut.

Also,I doubt a unified server pricewill stop customer loyalty, you get repeated customers from your good attitude and your friendlyness towards those who just happen to choose you, not just from your prices.

I encourage you to set whatever price you think is fair for 10 minutes of your time.

If people pay it, great!

If they think you charge too much, then they can look elsewhere. You aren't the only ID on your server, just the one that can start the process the soonest. Tell them if they change their mind, they can contact you, no hard feelings.

If they want it, but can't afford to pay, ask why they need it so badly.

> If it's to wear armor, ask them how they got the armor, then tell them that the same method will get them enough credits in a short time.

> If it's not for armor, then use your discretion. If you feel that they are tellingthe truth, then go ahead and give it to them for free if you like. I'm all for helping newbies, butbeware thepotential for you to be cheated here. Because people will do surprising things to save themselves a few bucks.

> If they refuse to answer, ask yourself why you would wait ten minutes for any price, in order to help someone who won't bother to communicate his issue to you.

> If they lecture you on being greedy, or insult you, I would welcome them to the ignore list. They aren't worth time to argue with.

And remember, the /open command will work on them. Anything that isn't in a container is available for your minute inspection. Of course, you can't do anything with the contents of thier inventory, but this eqivalent of looking to see what they are holding in thier hands is sufficient. If you feel you are being worked by a scammer, look to see what kind of gear they are sporting.

Actually I have to agree this is a nice safe place to start a server pricing discussion. As long as it's only one or two a week discussing it Server forums are definitely the place to post for finding an ID or hooking up with someone to practice, but pricing threads would be flamed to death We get enough just here on our own forum ugh.
