Hey, love the new layout for the Image design, glad it is no longer an hour grind profession, but what are we hearing on elimination the times for Masters... Someone talked about this before.

I just find it ridiculous that i have to stand there for 10 minutes or whatever waiting for a process that i have no control over except for the click of a button. (Stat Mig) Just driving me crazy.

Just the time limit in general, i can understand it for the up and coming ID, but really, I have been ID since week 2 or 3... the wait times are enough for me to drop it...

Flames or Agreements are welcome, but i just needed to get it out... please someone tell me some good news!

Well, it's really only Stat Mitigation that takes ten minutes. Also, that's not going to change. Master ID's will STILL have to wait 10 minutes on Stat Mitigations.

The other timers are 5 minutes on Body type changes, and 2 minutes on cosmetic changes (halved in a tent currently.)

All the proposed change will do is allow Master ID's to make Body-typechanges in 1 minute 15 seconds in a tent, and 2 and a half minutes outside a tent.

Personally, a better idea would be to allow Master ID's to push the 'Confirm' UI button at any time, but only get XP for it if they wait out the timer. You don't need Image Design XP at Master anyway, and it would keep people from getting limitless AP.. not that that's not possible with other class combos, anyway.

Master ID's will have no timers in the tent (except for stat migration), and half timers outside of the tent.

thats great for masters kwee, but for the others new and up coming ID'ers it SUCKS!! im a very casual player, so i grind hard to get to master in the few short hours in the evening so i can enjoy it more. however with the way ID is now, ill be 2 months minimum at the rate im able to play to regain master. Its all good for the masters, but what about the rest of us???

Its been said before, and im inclined to agree, ID is VERY lopsided when it comes to masters and novice ID'ers, they are one in the same issue, not 2 separate ones. you have to go through novice to get to master...

please devs if not totally remove the timer except for stat migration, then please lower them to something more reasonable like 10 - 15 sec timers on cosmetic, 20-25 for body changes...

I do not get to dictate to Runesabre and the other devswhat decisions I'd like them to make. Master ID timers are the one spotwe'vegained a little ground in the timers/exp progression issue.Master ID timers and timers linked to exp progressionare very much two separate issues, and I have dedicated far more time to lobbying forexp progression easingthan Master timers... When someone suggests that I lump all the timer and exp progression issues in one clumpit is always accompanied by the implication that all I care about are MID timers. An impression that especially surprises me when it comes from active forum posters?

my apologies to you kwee, my posts arent mean to be flames, but from the posts i have read thus far, it did seem very one sided. i honestly hope you are able to convince the devs of the importance of the timer issues...and hope the devs listen to you from a players perspective. because had they looked at it from a players perspective in the first place they wouldt have added such insane timers on us all...

Agreed. Speaking as a 2/1/4/0 Novice ID I'm glad the timers are adios for Master Image Designers.. really, I am. It's something to look forward toafter all this grinding.

A question, however: Have the Dev's considered the problem they are creating though? That doing things they way they are proposing essentially grants Master ID's _limitless_ amounts of XP that is gated for everyone else?

A Master ID could use the 'no timer for them in tent' rule to make 150+ XP/second. Granted they would have to surrender their Master ID title to make use of he extra XP gained at the moment, but they will be polluting any further use down the road for Image Design XP, such as in possible expanded professions.

There's also a potential for abuse if they ever allowed XP to be traded like faction points currently are.

I should think a better solution would be to allow the timers to continue as always, but allow Master ID's to Confirm at any time.
