Someone mentioned using the back stage areas of theatresas ID tents as opposed to playr city ID salons. I ask, why not both options?

I would also like to see a function that allows a Master ID to "disguise" another player character:

1) This would only be bale to be done by a MID

2) The ID's could not do this to themselves.

3) The "disguise" would temporarily make the player invisible to hostile players (Special forces, guildwar, BH/Jedi)

4) While disguised the player could not attack hostile players or disguise would break.

5) "Disguise would last 10 minutes tops. I

6) It would be used so a Player might be able to go train or get an entertainer buff or shop without fear of attack and without having to change faction status.

7) Having it be "player" only and non-combat would make it different from Rangers "Conceal".

Anyway that is my big idea. Now rip it apart without mercy!

Cheers!

I like N'Jessi's idea's Image Designers really need some things added to the profession. The idea for adding in Image Design tents for player cities would be nice seeing as Image Design is the only profession under Entertainer to not have its own player city structure. Maybe add the idea where if you group up with say a Master Doctor you can change your race/gender? In addition to better sliders for weight and muscle. There have been a lot of very good idea's posted so far about changes for Image Design.

One thing I've always liked to see implemented was a Minister/Counselor sort of profession. Someone who people would need to get a hold of in order to get married, be divorced, et cetera. Now, this could play into the ID profession quite well. If instead of having the ability to change names, they were granted a branch of Relational or "Ministry" abilities in which they would change the names of players through marriage, or mayhaps changing the names of people who were "running for someone" (granting that person "sanctuary" as it were, and it "hiding them") it may open up a whole new world of possibilities. You could put the Face and Body branches into one, then put the Ministry Branch in the open one.

There would have to be more abilities than this, I know, to make the branch plausible and practical, but that's what brainstorming is about. Even still, needing to have a Minister or Counselor present for marriage or divorce would definitely add some nifty content to the marriage scheme, and may get more people to consider the thought of marriage.

I think craftable "wigs" that players can purchase in any style or color (of course race /gender specific)

Either purchase directly from an ID or off a vendor

Have them have decay as well and unuseable ater it decays or maybe good for only 5 uses?

Maybe have the stats look like this new condition= 5/5 worn 3 times 2/5 unequipable at 0/5 then take it to an Id to get them to make you a new one if its one you want matched

Or maybe give them a wig repair kit that they can only use to repair the stats?

The first thing that comes into my mind when thinking of what might be helpful for IDs is the ability to store different states, similiar to the revert button.
You have 4 additional buttons in the interface. The first time you click a button the current state is stored, the second time you click it the state at the point of saving is reproduced. If you click a load button while the current state is not saved a warning appears that the current state is not saved and asks if you really wanna do that.

Nails! Fingers and Toes....This is such a big industry in the Real World why wouldn't you put it in this game. Have it so you can make different colours, designs and lengths.

Don't know if this has been suggested before but I'll give it a shot. I think image designer should have a crafting branch that is for making different products that lets players change their own appearance. Some examples of these would be hairspray (changes hair), set of weights (changes body form), and a makeup kit (changes face). I don't think ID should give players scars. I think players should receive scars if they die and then IDs remove them if they are unwanted by the player.

Oh yeah, btw, people that don't play SWG wouldn't be able to tell that this is about a Star Wars gamewhen reading this thread.

As a part of a huge Wookiee Guild on the Sunrunner Servers (SRA) and especially after Episode 3, I and many others would really love to see Wookiees getting some new ID features, as from all the races, they've been very limited in their choices.

1) Wookiee hairstyles/braids/dreadlocks: Wookiee-players (and non-wookiee players as well) definitely would *love* to see this. After Episode 3, it pretty much stood out that Chewbacca was the *only* wookiee from all the couple hundreds that were shown that didn't have a particular hairstyle (he's just shaggy, he is). So hairstyles, braids and dreadlocks are definitely a must for wookiees and it felt like it should've been included with Rage of the Wookiees, since the title says it's about wookiees Also something to consider are Shavings...*ahem* though not considered to be 'in style' among wookiees, it's not unheard of. The wookiee bounty hunter Snoova (which Chewie impersonated in Shadows of the Empire) for example was shaved around his scalp.

1b) In the same category as above are wookiee beards and misc. fur styles. I'm thinking about chin braids here, sigil shavings/brandings on the shoulders, little braids on the arms and what not. There's plenty to go nuts with here that would easily make up for 10-15 more styles to pick from.

2) Loosely ID-related, but part of the wookiee 3d model should be reworked as well. It was very well done by the time SWG was released, but by now (and again, with Episode 3 showing us a lot more canon-wookiees) these oddities just stand out. Biggest gripe pretty much is how wookiees look when they're muscularity is maxed out. It seems strange that, instead of getting broader shoulders and back, their shoulders rise toward their (non-existant) ears. With some wookiee-clothing and especially Jedi Robes, this creates a very awkward and freakish-looking wookiee. Tarfful from Episode 3 could be considered a very bulky wookiee and he was very broad and overall bulky instead of having his shoulder and neck muscles trying to swallow his head Seeing this corrected would do wonders for wookiee-looks, hehe.

2b) And again riding on the same train of thought, it would be neat if the fur-texture could be a bit reworked to be more...well, fur-like.

Other General ID things that would be great:
--Battle Scars: After Anakin Skywalker showed us (and also collected some more) scars in the third movie, scarring could definitely be introduced into SWG as a means of furthering roleplay and making your character bear more marks of his exploits than just badges. But just like badges, they should have to be 'earned'. The way it could work would be similar to cybernetics. Everytime you die on a high-end planet, there is a chance of you gaining a battle scar. It could be a wicked bite from a fierce beast, a blasterwound from an Elite Stormtrooper or a long slash from a lightsaber, depending on HOW you died. Now, at first all these scars would be ugly, an angry red, a charred black or sick mixture of both (Darth Vader's face, anyone?), like open wounds really. These scars would remain ugly and will only eventually fade out after a week or so. The player would then have to the option to seak out an Image Designer to do their magic on the scar. An Image Designer would have 2 options for how to treat the wound:

First Option would be to 'clean up' the scar. For example, a fresh angry-red and black wicked scar over your eye would then become a straight, darker scar (like Skywalker's scar from Ep3) which would be more pleasant to the eye. This would also make the scar permanent (until the player decides to make a change about it.

Second Option would be remove the scar entirely right away, leaving no trace of it at all. This is for those who do not wish to wait an entire weak for the ugly scar to fade.

This would make it a little interesting mini-game and really give IDs something to do in the galaxy. Players would have to keep coming back to get their scars taken care of, both for getting rid or for keeping them. That way there should always be something to do for the Image Designers.

--Factional Tattoos: Yeah, those would be much fun Rebels get to tattoo the rebel insignia on their shoulder and imperials their stormtrooper barcode on their back *grins*

--Special Occasion Get-ups: As tailors get to do clothes that hold more of a festive purpose, Image Designers should also be able to supply some feats for special in-game occasions or just general eye-catchiness. Tailors already supply a large variety of clothes for all species that could serve festive occasions. It would be great if an Image Designer could supply to that.

In general: A special occasion get-up would be an appearance modification that would last for certain amount of time (maybe 6 hours or so) and that could be toggled on and off during that period, kinda like holo-emotes. Apart from gender-specific perks, this would give the player a kind of glow or sparkle around him, to make them stand out more during festive occasions, while dancing in the cantina or doing trading business at the local starport. Attack of the Shinies, so to speak. On to the gender-specific perks:

Female Perks: Females would get special make-up and extended hairstyles options. This could be the royal nabooian hairstyles like Queen Amidala's (metal hair-holders included) or some of the more exotic hairstyles that we have seen on the nightsisters of Dathomir for example. Make-up would also include some more exotic options, again the whole selection of royal nabooian make-ups and some others similar to that.

Male Perks: Not really sure myself what could be added for the male players. Input anyone?

Male and Female Perks: Player radiate a kind of glow or sparkle due to having prepared for a festive occasion. They are cleaned up and dressed for the celebration and thus have an aura of dignity around themselves (a graphical glow effect in general, maybe some rare sparkles for females).

Faction Perks: Imperials and Rebels alike can also choose to display their rank, wearing not only their medals of honor from their respective faction, but also their rank badges, as well as maybe some smaller faction-oriented faction medals underneath (for completed theme park, for awarded faction space craft).

Special Chat Bubbles: Players that are wearing their special occasion get-up will have special chat bubbles pop up over their head while they are doing so. These could be very intricately decorated, lined with black and gold, just something to make them appear just as festive as their players

Race-specific perks: Of course the perks will have to vary depending on the species. No Amidala hairstyles and make up for wookiee females, for example. Instead, the option would be here to give female wookiees some special braid-styles along with golden and intricate hairbands that make them stand out. And maybe their fur could be getting a little 'beauty' tint as well, like a slight shimmer or things like that. It just has to be something more image design specific for each race. While it may be a festive thing for Mon Cals to get diadems for their heads, it's more of a tailor specific-thing than an image-designers.

Entertainer-specific Perks: Of course, the one profession that will profit most from such a festive get-up would be the entertainers. Thus it would be logical that an Entertainer using a special occasion get-up would get some additional perks, like some more extended special effects while dancing or performing with an instrument. Motion-blurs, sparkly movement trails, whatever makes the Entertainer really be the star of the festival works best.

Limitation: When entering combat, the special occasion get-up would automatically deactivate itself. No Battle of Beauties

Special Occasion Get-ups along with these perks would really give Image Designers something special to tinker with and a lot more business as well. Entertainers would probably use them the most, but other players, especially role-players would definitely use them as well for all kinds of events, parties, get-togethers and what not.

I would *love* to see that in SWG and I hope a Dev takes notice of this

Tattoos that can go on ALL races should be put into the game.

(Nautical Stars, Imp Logo, Rebel Logo, Jedi symbols, Mandolorian Symbols, The Death star, sparrows, barbed wire, dragons, butterflies, flowers, tribals, alien writing, Sacred Heart, I can come up with a million ideas)

Piercings for ALL races

(septum, nose, nipples, eyebrow, ears, industrial, navel, surface piercings)

A medical chair would be nice, along with some decorative tools. (needles, saws, tapers, some kind of autoclave machine, etc...)

I want the ability to go overt and aggressively ID enemy players while they are incapped/dead.

Yes...I can't pvp you rebels...but if you upset meI'll leave a trail of green mohawks and purple afros to mark my passing. You see a doctor to get wounds healed, you can see an ID to heal the damage an enemy hairdresser did while you were unconscious on that last base attack.
