The Id session window should display the players avatar in the "naked" view, with the undies so you can see everything. what it isn't I dunno... your guess is as good as mine.. I suppose it is to allow a player to match a look to clothing.. I do that allot I would however like the ability to flip the session between fully clothed and not. it would make things easier.

I know the Armor bug is being corrected but the root cause of the problem is deeper in the game. It will be fixed.. but like anything it takes time to recompile the game. I guess you have to understand we play on the released version, the beta testers are in the revision after ours and then there 3-4 versions after that and it can be as far as 5 months away to see something implimented is it is not cosmeticlly changeable.

Maybe, rather than trying to code a programmed solution, we as the Image Designer community can make some headway. After our most recent revamp, I doubt we're getting any attention for a while, and that's fine with me. I mean...if someone is hell-bent on destroying our profession or using it for griefing, they could probably find a way around almost anything you can code. And, as we know, most of our "stat only" clients don't really pay attention to the interface, but just click whatever they need to get the job done and get on with their GCW.

I know it sounds really harsh...but maybe we as a community need to find some way of finding out the people who are griefing and warning others about it in some way. I know that we don't like being name droppers, but if someone has griefed using Image Designer skills or just messed with someone due to the armor bug or because someone refused to remove their armor, I don't think any code is going to fix that fundamental ethical flaw in the people doing it. If we raise awareness of this concern and make a point to publicize those Image Designers who we KNOW are reliable, this would not only bring us all closer together, but help weed out and eliminate the people who abuse their power as image designers.

These are just my thoughts and ramblings...but considering JtL and the combat revamp, I think we as a community need to find ways to address this concern without changing the game itself or our interface, until SOE has a chance to integrate one of the many suggested fixes into the game.

Opinions? Thoughts? Flames?

My two creds,

Dan

every character that is created has the individually sorta random Secret professions to unlock Jedi..... Be it 5 or up to at least 30 of them...

So if you remove all the speed bumps that were put in place to curb the powergamer's freeway to jedi.. and Make it so it too easy to soar up a profession you inadventantly will make it alot easier to unlock free skill trees of force sensitivity unknowingly by making it easy to collect profession badges. Remember If you become glowy and have your hidden secret professions mastered you get free skills that are instantly availible to you.

That said.. The dev still need to maintain Profession ballence... I think we have it good.. we're not as rough as politician where exp is doled out WEEKLY and it can take 4 and 5 aznd 6 MONTHS to master.

Once the crafting Macro's are nerfed.. ooh man there will not be alot of happy campers.. I recently mastered medic in about 3 hours.. the macro needs to be nerfed and that will make entertainer a LONG non afk process... Ooh the dark side clouds all and that dark day is on it;s way.... hopefully JTL will distract us!

…uh, what exactly does this have to do with the client's peace of mind? (And seriously, f*** jedi. F*** 'em right in the ear.)

Hmm... I don't think that you have realized just what changes Publish 10 has made to jedi.

Grinding professions no longer gets you any bonus for jedi. To qualify for the visit from the Old Man, you only need ONE profession mastery badge... and it can be ANY profession. I have myself gotten all of the crafting done for master artisan while grinding ID on several of my MIDs... and done it without using crafting macros. I have also gotten master medic entirely without the aid of any macro (and in a fairly short time too).

The holo-grinders are a thing of the past., those who did not master their secret professions before Publish 10 went live will never get any free skill trees... and those who mastered some (but not all)of those secret professions will only get the free skill trees that they qualified for when Publish 10 went live.

Now since we only need ONE profession mastery badge, the power gamer can just do some combat profession (as those are both the easiest to master and the most attractive to power gamers). This will leave Image Design (and the other professions that power gamers despise) to those of us that choose them because we find them interesting and fun. Unfortunately, with the grind to MID (as well as the other entertainer professions) as long and boring as it is, only the most dedicated and masochistic of players will take it up.

Well, since you cannot grind your way to jediism through professions anymore lowering ID-Timers (not removing them, just lowering them significantly) isn't really problematic at all. Btw: The devs still plan do disable recursive makros, too... This will have a VERY HUGE impact on how many folks play this game and I forsee that once the devs bring this toppic up again the uproar will be very unpleasantly load and nasty.

But like said before: this is totally off topic and we should stick to discuss UI-changes here that miht help to 'keep the peace' and raise our all playing experience.
