I have also been finding that the tents have become what the cantinas used to be pre-hologrinders - the social spot to hang out Several customers will stick around after they've had work done to hang out, I've seen Dancers/Musicians entertain in the tents, and generally people just soaking in the friendly atmosphere. Now this is in the Coronet, Moenia, and Bestine tents. The Theed tent when I've gone is so stuffed full of people you can't see past your nose. But I imagine that will lessen over time. One unfortunate thing about the Theed tent as well is they can hear all the awful spam from the cantina next door. One ID told me she just put them all on ignore though I've heard of some bad experiences but mine have fortunately all been good so far in the tents. ID's politely taking turns with customers and discussing pricing privately. I've seen some Entertainers grinding ID, poor things, but no hologrinders. I think they're waiting to see what happens with the exp to see if it's worth finding out if ID is their silent holo

Yes, the tents are becoming social hot spots for sure. I met such marvellous people in Bestine last night. When we weren't ID:ing we danced, talked and goofed around and had such fun I quite forgot about time until I almost collapsed from hunger pains

Everything about the revamp is turning out great! And now that the timer for MIDs will be reduced in the field and completely removed inside the tents life is perfect. One small detail that I am personally very happy about is how the new body adjustments seem to work exactly as in character creation. All of my three MID characters previously suffered from the old weight slider bug. All it took was a twitch on the new slider and.. instant tummy tuck! Yay!

Love everything, and thank you all involved in making it happen.

Thank you, Kwee, as ever for your hard work. I've not spend a ton of time in the Theed tent, though I did spend a few hours the first day dealing with clients, and then later on, I stopped off in Coronet, and then some jobs here and there. I had a lot of fun, as ever, giving people new looks, and even if some think the holoemotes are aren't all 'star warsy', I had more than a few customers that liked them to play with, and their new looks.

I like the interface, though I miss the numbers on the palette for reference as I used to actually write these down and keep files on regular clients that always wanted changes so I could put them back to their 'regular' looks if they wanted, etc.

The timer is a bit much at times, especially if you're just doing a simple change, and customers can get impatient, etc.

On Scylla so far it's been fairly positive. People are enjoying it.

Most of the time I don't have a problem with the timer because I'm doing other stuff so it runs out, but it would be nice if at master we didn't have that since I always know exactly what I want to do on my own characters

The new colors are awesome for the Zabraks, Humans and Mon Cal especially. If pink were my favorite color I'd be a very happy Twi'lek, but hopefully they'll add more love for the pastels and blue on us in the future (I'm hoping since I stayed my old lightest blue color heheh)

I think the biggest happiness I've seen is in having so many more options for eye color on humans, and nobody seems to really be upset that they don't have any wild and crazy skin colors.

All in all everyone seems to be pretty happy, most people are so happy about the relatively instantaneous stat migration that they don't mind paying for it. I haven't ever had tips this large before, 20K for a hairstyle change made me about flip. The only time I said a price to someone was when someone asked me "stat migration is 50K, right?" I wasn't going to argue because the other IDs were doing that & it seems to be the setup on Scylla. A lot of people are happy with the emotes too, though I think this will be dwarfed by the accolades when tattoos find their way in.

I will say great job - the humans & zabrak are loving it and since they are the majority of the server, I'm not going to complain. 20K tips for hairstyle changes are fine by me!

I for one LIKE this Publish. I never bothered with Stat Migration until I had to (slow and annoying, and it meant days of downtime while your stats moved, sitting around waiting). The ID color options...Hitting master JUST so you can have all the options a players does making their character? Uhh..No thanks). The Interface is great. No more getting stiffed, and folks getting used to seeing the price for what they want right there, no more getting 'what you charge' 80 times in a row because of cantina spam. And, I always thought a physical trainer should be the one moving stats around (and folks...stop whining..Other games don't even let you re-allocate points, or drop skills to elarn new ones, or any of that crap.) And sure..Players could migrate on their own for 10 months..SO WHAT? Read the EULA sometimes? Read the Manual? It says things can and will change all through it. If the original lead had the cahoneys and insight of JG, Folks would have been migrating the way they are now from day 1. So what..it cost you 10K for a migration, to have it done in 10 minutes? Man... that's a HUGE improvement over the days it took before.

You need a buff? You see a doc. Need a mind buff? Entertainer. Want some hide? Go see a scout. Need a gun? Check out a weaponsmith. So on an so on... Want to get a bit buffer? See a personal trainer. Why is that so hard for people to swallow? And no, 'I could do it myself for 10 months' don't float any better than a sleeping bag full of rocks. Why? because in a few months, things are changing. Want a spaceship? Using that logic...Too freakin bad. You couldn't fly 10 months ago, not gonna do it now. Remember that crafting change? We ALL freaked...Me included.. They took it out for us, and know what? I want the freakin thing back! I based my thoughts on the people who claimed to know what they was talking about, as many others did, turning the protests of a few meatheads into a rabid horde, and to keep us happy the devs revoked it even though the response to the changes was overwhelmingly positive once people tried it, myself included. I made BETTER armor, as a noob, with that update, than I do with the crappy old system. And thanks to the people screaming, we lost something that was a very cool new system, that the devs put a ton of time and effort into. Now we're facing a repeat of history here, Give it some time people, see what else is coming, and why the devs think it's essential. They know alot that's going on, we don't. And before you all scream foul about that.. this is the FIRST dev team, to actually ask for player community leaders to help them point the game in directions we want. The level of communication here is unprecedented, and the devs open themselves to full bore flamethrower heat and constant putdowns and rants, with few compliments for their hard effort and work they do for us. Remember the fires? They didn't bail until the fires were right outside their freakin town practically! How much damned dedication do you people want? JG on a cross or TH on a stake? Come on, they're people, going WAY past the call of duty, to give us the game we want. So the Devs make ONE change, and everybody cries because now they need to see someone to have something done. Gah. Makes me wanna hide my lightsaber and put on some Spock Ears, I feel emberassed to be a Star Wars fan right now.

For all you devs, here's a big ol Wookiehug from Chaz, he gets to be pink finally, lol. Keep it up, and forget the naysayers. They been wrong more than right, myself included. Next time, remember, we're ranting, because it's the first time we get the chance to rant when something in a game cheezes us off. We're human too..Even the wookies and Rodians and Moncals..You get the idea

TH, You still got friends in the game dude, even though I doubt we've met. I know for a fact the devs play the game, Especially TH. You been there since beta, offering input, now you're ONE OF THEM, and I don't envy you for the world. Congratulations on doing the best you can (and folks.>Next time you flame TH for messing up some technical terms, or not being able to explain why a feature won't work..Remember.>he was hired to just tell us what the devs say, not because he's a master game programmer. If he knew half as much about the game as you expect him to, He wouldn't be talkign to our pathetic arses, he'd be working on the space expansion! Geez! Even I know a bit about corperate setups, and the guy delivering messages, and picking up the calls, rarely knows what's goin on on the other side of the doors. Even if he DOES... NDA, Lucasarts contracts, SOE contracts..This game tied in more red tape than..well..the US government probably.

JG, Since you took over, We've seen the fall of the Hologrind (slowly), DE become a fun, useful profession, Vehicles, CH become a profession where master meant something, and dabblers were just that- dabblers. ID got a ton of cool new features. A new dungeon with cool new loot (something everyone cried for since launch), the long-broken ID hair bug put on schedule for a fix, finally, the addition of armor for wookies. The constant, hard and delicate task of rebalancing a badly out of whack game, and even taking the time to wade in, sleeves up, and slug it out with 10,000 irate fans over each and every single one of these publishes, Even while managing the E3 promotion, handling the imminent Beta of the SE (if the launch schedule is on track), the Fan Fest.... Anyone who says you ain't listening needs to try even half of that at once. Managment isn't as easy a job as it looks, Especially when keeping Lucasarts, SOE, and a horde of SW fanatics and plain ol' gameplayers happy, or at least non-violent, at once.

And all the faceless dozens, who crank this out, only to hear us all whine and cry each time. Don't let it get you down folks. If we were all half as disappointed as we say..We wouldn't pay for 2-3 accounts each, would we? We appreciate the hard work, the time and effort, and I for one know that many of you probably have no TIME to play. Yet, with no chance to enjoy your own labor, you crank away, making not only a full expansion but a constant stream of updates and publishes at the same time. Fixing bugs (yes, I can name dozens that have been fixed, and many more scheduled to me), adding new features, new content, new mission types even. They promised vehicles and mounts and cities..and had them in our greedy, ungrateful hands in the first few months. We complained about them listening, they gave us correspondents. We whine about the GCW sucking..they give us a MASSIVE overhaul, that is taking HUGE resources to pull together, and keep giving us more of what we ask for the whole time. I've hopped around to a half dozen other MMOs out there..and know what? They stink, they have less than half the depth and options Galaxies does. Horizons, EQ, A couple Beta's I can't name, Ryzom... Give me Galaxies anyday, bugs and all. It's the nature of the beast, anything this complex is gonna have errors. Live with it, and enjoy. If you must speak up, then do so, but please, keep it civil. it's too easy to forget, these are people giving up THEIR time and lives, to keep us happy. Every day they spend doing this thankless job, they could be in Blizzard listening to fanboi's heap praise on them instead, but they stick with us. Be grateful for it folks, or SOE might not be able to FIND devs willing to put up with our crap and work on this game, or they might simply close the whole project down, the MMO closings have started already, keep it up and they just might pack up and leave folks, then where you gonna play Star Wars? KOTOR? UGH. Take your scripted crap home please, I hate that game.

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.

When I saw the screenshots, I was a little worried about the holoemotes, but now that I've seen them in live their not too bad. Some of them are pretty cool.

Love the new interface and colors of course, can only hope we'll continue to getsuch greatadditions to the game.
