Thread: What question do you get that drives you crazy??
GRRR
i had a guy yesterday, ask me, make me look like jango. i said i dont remember what he looks like sorry. God i hate crap liek that. Then he asks well just fix my face the way you think it should be. NOPE. I will not do that. Only if you say pull my cheeks in, twist my eyes a little will i do it. I dont mess with features like that because thats very personal to the person and if they dont like it, then its the ID's fault. That one part I refuse to do. gets on my nerves when they ask me to fix them to look "good" in that manner..../sigh
These people who take it for granted that I'm DYING to work on them drive me up the wall. Like when I get tells saying "hey change my hair" or "I need to be shorter" or even just one word requests such as "holoemotes". No please, just a 'do it now' request. I'm not a puppet and I do not ID on command. I am not the Pavlov's dog of image design, darn it. ![]()

In their defense, there used to be (still is?) a bug that you could put your MID tag on drop all of ID and the MID tag would still be there. I can't tell you the number of times I've gone up to someone that said Master Ranger to ask for training, and got the :
"LOLZZ you NOOB I droped that LAM3 @zz profession weeks ago!!!!!1111!"
So I understand the "Are you an ID" even with your tag up.
Nope that is long gone.
You cannot fly a flag without the box that grants it, and if you had one from before and dropped the skill it reverts to none shown.
Actually, myMBH/MCM still has the title Demolitionist from her time as a Commando (which she dropped last june). Though I think it fits quite well with what she does now.

I used to be a Master Musician/Master Entertainer/Some ID. I used to get people asking me for tatoos all the time and honestly I don't know why SOE hasn't included them in the game. Technically I would think they would be no different than another layer of clothing to add in - and they must exist already for Zabraks at least on the face. From what I recall reading this sort of thing is actually programmed as an invisible projector that shines the specified shape onto a character in the specified color - but looks like a face tatoo when done. You would think adding a few projectors to characters that would show a variety of shapes and color combos wouldn't be too hard and it would be massively popular. So would the addition of piercings since they are so popular in RL these days (I know its SWG universe but people can't help but project their own personal preferences onto the game world).
During the respec I switched to any number of different professions, and ended up as a BH. I have had lots of fun playing as a BH for a while now, and decided to return to Master Entertainer because I missed playing the Mandoviol. While I was working on that I picked up a few boxes in ID.
As a result of this changeover, I have been hunting low level Jedi while sporting the profession tag "Hairstylist" - I figured it might demoralize them to learn they were killed by a Hairstylist - and make them treat Image Designers with greater respect in the future ![]()

I really can't fault people who say "Can you ID me? I'll pay you."
I often get this type of tell, and a lot of times it seems to me to be less "I'll pay you, and you should be grateful!" and more like "I'm not like the asshats who don't feel your services are worth money, and I'm more than willing to pay you for your time."
Granted, they could put it into more words than that, but it's not a big issue for me.
I do NOT like persons who don't take NO for an answer, I do NOT travel to ID, I do NOT (As a Master ID) need the exp!
"I need a new hairstyle, you can change them, right?" No, not right now I can't, sorry. "Oh, you're not an Image Designer?" I am, as evidenced by my MID tag,but I'm busy right now. "C'mon! you need the EXP don't you?"
Smacktard.
Oh hell...
I've not been playing SWG for very long, but I've already got an intense psychotic HATRED of some of the things people do/say to IDs
1) Every single human char that asks for black hair- "Can u do red eyes plz?"
2) People that ask for an ID, seemingly for the sheer hell of it. I mean, please, if you are asking me for a little of my time, at least have a damned IDEA what you'd like done to your character. After five minutes of vague suggestions they usually say something like "Can you just scroll through all the hairstyles?" and then "CanI see all the different facial hair/tattoos/markings?". This is sometimes accompanied by "I want to see what I look like fat" or "can u make my mouth smaller?" I change it "No! not that small!"I put it back where it was "Yes, perfect!"
In addition to taking up way too much of my time, these people never tip.
3)"u r only cl 56, ur template isnt done yet"
"Im an image designer. I dont get CL for that."
"what?!?! lolz, IDs only change the way people look. "
I know! thats why I chose the prof! Not everyone in this game is on a tireless grind for jedi or bounty hunter! Please go and suffocate yourself so I dont have to listen to you spend the next five minutes attempting to understand and comprehend why people might want to play a non combat proffession, and fail pitifully. I didn't laugh at/condescend your dull cookie cutter MBH or jeditemplate, don't do this to me,or you can go ask someone else to dye your hair black and make your skin white.
4) Last but not least -
"How old r u?"
"What?" *shrug* "23. Why?"
"r u realy a girl?"
*sigh* "No. Are you?"
"lol! u r not even a girl?"
"No. I did just say. Are you?"
