Thread: Who wants to play in the combat sandbox?

heh.. poor combatants soo hard done by
- Stat migration: 10,000 (A profession or rebalence/tweak) say 3 a profession?
I usually tip 20K when asking for migrations, if not more, but migrations are something that don't need to be done often
- Armor: 120K-400K ( lasts untill it breaks? 1 month? 2?
210K per suit for the stuff I'm using now, bought 10 suits
- Weapon 10K - 10 million Lasts until it breaks? 1 - 2 months?
3-30K, depending on the weapon. Call it 12K on average.
- Buffs 10K -18K + 10 entertainment buff(Each "hunt"
Doc alt, don't use ent buffs, so cost is negligeable here
- Food and drink 130K for 20 uses?
Brandy, Ahrisa, Canapes, Exoprotien Wafers, Synthsteak...all told, call it about 5K per use
- Vehicles 20K lasts until some dork / mob blows it up? + 2-3K repair a night?
MArtisan alt, another negligeable cost--maybe 6K per week in repairs
- House maintanence for storage 12K / month?
Uh...not entirely sure, but a lot. 10 small houses, 1 medium, 1 large, 3 factories...
able to pull in 300K in 4 hours? Location dependant and warrior skill of player dependant
Now here's where things even out. Try 988Kcr in 3 hours. Credits are not hard at all to come by in this game...which is why I don't feel bad about being the most expensive tailor on TC.
I know I make like Nothing on my romps to get rebel faction.. maybe 10K in 3 hours (1K per mission X 30 mins?)
Faction is low payout because, well, you get faction. When you consider that it costs roughly 100cr/1FP from a smuggler, faction missions actually pay a good bit.
it's tough.. no question.. probably tougher then showing someone every colour of the damn pallet over 20 minutes to end up canceling it!!!!! ARRG!
I very strongly disagree here. Having played many, many professions I find Image Designer to be one of the most challenging simply because of its conceptual nature. That's what I love about it.

I'm trying to go rebel so I can do that theme.. but I might just flip to imp so I can do the warren... it seems to be an important set of badges. After that I'll hit the hermits then I'll have no choice but become a master combat prof so I can sneak aboard the corvettes.. odly enough no badge for deathwatch?
No need to change factions to do the Warren. I've done it with a Rebel. It was funnyhaving a Rebel get 500 Imperial Faction points (bringing my total up to -3700 or so). It will definately be more useful (Factionwise) for me to do it with my Imperial though. What I think bites however, is that there is NO WAY for a pure crafter or entertainer to get glowy. According to what I have read on the boards, you have to have 5 "Content" badges (read: Theme Park, Warrenor Corvette) as well as a certain number of location badges and at least one profession badge. How they expect a pure crafter or entertainer to do themeparks (let alone either the Warren or the Corvette) is beyond me.
Aklaq (on Eclipse) has:
- All Location badges
- Rebel themepark, Jabba's themepark, Nym's themepark & both Warren badges
- Theed Librarian badge
- Master Medic and Master Creature Handler (had to drop medic down to only Organic Chemistry though as I'm making her a BE)
I spent the last few days before Publish 10 went live completing the Rebel themepark and doing Jabba's & Nym's themeparks, then did the Warren on Monday. She has an "inner glow" and the Force is with her (no sign of the Old Man yet though). From the look of your list, you should become glowy as soon as you complete the Warren if you do that before you do the Rebel themepark.

Maisland, on Eclipse, what city do you play out of?
On the Eclipse server, I currently live in the player city of Old Republic on Corellia. We just got a shuttleport in the town a few weeks ago and since then, I have used that to go to either Coronet or Tyrena when I have had to use a starport (before then, I had had to use the Kor Vella starport as it is closest to my town and since Aklaq is a Rebel, and that place is infested with storm troopers my skin crawled every time I went through there).
I had previously lived in a town on Talus, but my guild was invited to move to Old Republic by the guild that was already there. However, shortly after we started moving in, they changed it so that zoning rights were required to place any structures withing the town and the only people we knew to contact weren't talking to us so those of my guild who had not already placed houses were unable to so we have been contemplating leaving that town and starting a new town for ourselves (nad of course I was elected to place the town hall if we do end up moving). We have since had some talks to people who are supposed to help us resolve the issues, but there are still some issues that have not been dealt with and we may yet move, so I have to keep some skill credits tied up in Politician that I would rather spend on ID.

Heh, that is probably why I never see you. I have NEVER been on Talus, and I am only on Corellia in passing to other planets. I live in Nu'Maoi (on Naboo) and fight my daily battles in Theed.
What guild are you in?
If you guys are looking for a city, give my mayor a shout. She is perhaps the most level headed, sweetest person I have encountered in this game. Our city currently has 82 about residents... a shuttleport, cantina, med center, clone center, theater (which the owner is trying to get rid of ATM), a merchant area (that we are trying to expand), etc. We are an active city, as in players are always there doing things... whether it be crafting, chilling, or running between POIs beating on things. We are a neutral city that does not allow PvP within the borders because we have hardcore imperials and rebels who live there, and we don't want any trouble. If you are interested, let me know, and I could hook you up with my mayor.

I think I saw you last week as I ran past theTheed cantina on my way to get the second Warren badge. As for moving to your city from where we are now... I'm afraid we have too many Corellian buildings with too much pre-paid maintenance on them to move to Naboo. If we decide not to remain in the town where we are located right now, we have a spot picked out to place a new town. I just wish our mayor would let me TRY to find a spot to place Lhyris' cantina instead of putting me off every time I bring it up. It had been placed when we were on Talus, and I wish now that I had not picked it up. I still haven't "unpacked" from that move yet.

The next time you see me say hi!!
I would have said hi then, but I didn't notice your name in spatial until I got to the Palace, and when I went back to the cantina area, there was so much spam I couldn't tell if you were still there.
