My poor Topaz on Test Center has outstanding stat migration needs now. Good think I can sucker NJ's ID into doing it for me I hope

Just for the prinicipal of it, we should be able to migrate our own stats. it just doesn't make any sense that we can't. On the other hand, how many of us *really* migrate our stats a lot? I am sure there are a few, but most poeple are just reacting to something being taken away and not something really practical.

I have migrated my stats onatleast three of my characters several times in the last month. 5 times for the primary character on one of my accounts in the last three weeks alone. So what now I have to pay 250k credits forthe samestat migration, all because the devs don't have the creativity to come up with something knew for you ID's and instead resort to a player nerf.

All of us now are dependent on ID's for stat migrations and yet curiosly you ID's are not dependent on any other profession. No, tools that need to created by an artisan for you're tasks; no meds are needed for you're stat migrations. etc...

How is it that the entire playerbase got so screwed over?

It should cut-downon players becoming ID masters just for the Stat Migrate

We are such a tight community we will likely do stat migrate for each other for free and be happy to do so. I know I'd stat Migrate for any of you.

As soon as I opened this thread I tried to actually think of a positive reason for this. And I think you just hit it on the head. The problem is they're making ID more difficult to master, so its not worth it for players to become an ID just for that when they can pay and get it done in 10 minutes.

Hmm, so now I'm back where I started. Why is this happening?

    Why ?

Maybe they wanted you to feel how every non-ID feel about this change. (Yes that's pure evil ).

(More likely some bug allowing you to make xp by self migrating, really looks like the usual way of fixing here)

On the next nerf base :
    - Player can no longer surrender their own skills, go check your local master ranger for price.
    - Of course, Master Ranger cannot drop their own skills.

    Iosis:

By that logic I'd prefer stat migration to be Bodyform 4 or else Master ID.

If its any consolation TDLUNT, I plan on working for tips, same as always. If people want to stiff me for Stat Migration work, I'll charge a couple thousand credits.

An artisan shouldn't have to go run a bazillion survey missions in order to pay for Stat Migration so he can start holding a pistol and wearing a chest plate without falling over.

Well, I said that a *few* people change their stats a lot. I'm sorry you are one of them. I don't understand the reason for it, but sorry you have to go through that. Personally, I never wanted to do stat migration in the first time. I just wanted to make people look nice. As far as not depending on other professions, we are *completely* depenedent on other professions! We can not take missions except for maybe the 100 credit "entertainer" missions. We can not gather resources with our ID skills and sell them. We can't make products. We are a service profession and without people paying for our services, all of us would still be exactly like we were when we created out charcters, with newbie clothes, a knife, a mellon and 300 credits. People have no problem paying 10-15K for a doctor or entertainer buff which will last 2-3 hours and then pay it all over again. Stat migrations are permanent until people you decide to change it again. If they are really so important that losing the ability is the end of the world, then you should have no problem paying for it.

And people think that 60K for an Adv R3 with all the 6 effect modules that last forever, require loads of resource, at least 3 factory run and much more then 10 minutes, is far too expensive...

    That what I call balance.

Not me! I think that droids are underpriced and I don't think that anyone has heard me complain about the price of a droid.

People pay that 10-15k because it brings them value. That 10-15k investment allows them to earn more credits. What does that same investment in an ID feature buy me. Not a damn thing.

That's rich. Nerf a non gamebreaking feature I use regularily and then have the nerve to tell me to shut-up and pay.

Then don't pay for it! If it isn't worth anything to you, then you don't need it. Move on and ignore all the image designers.

Well, first of all, I don't *want* it taken from everyone. I want the old way (slowed down a little) available for everyone! People will pay for instant stat migration just because they are impatient, but nothing should be taken away from people. That said, if it is really all that important for you to change your stats and we are stuck with it, then you should pay for it! I am not going to sit in a tent all day giving away free or nearly free stat migrations.
