I wish I could give you an answer here. However sadly, the usefulness and necessity of an image designer is severly decreased with the removal of migrations. Sorta sad if you ask me.

I think this shows the developers dedication (and lack there of) towards certain professions.

For the record, stat migrations were not part of the equation when many of us mastered and alot of the community was upset with their addition.

The income was nice but the skillpoints will do for me until a more appropriate replacement can be developed.

Im not complaining that I have more SP on my entertainer. I am thinking along the lines of income for the image desginer that purely relies on image designing for income. I guess you are correct, as it was not originally a given skill, as migrations happened overtime. But as time has gone on, more people have gotten comfortable with their looks and it seems as though changes are minimal.

Image designer is an extremely fun profession. Personally I love the fact I can alter the appearace of my toons whenever I want. But to a lot of players, it is just not something they are really interested in. I guess you have to look at it from the fun, and enjoyment standpoint. Ask yourself: Do you enjoy being an image designer?"

If the answer is yes, then I guess one cannot complain I welcomed the SP decrease, and still every much enjoy my time as an ID.

well im a MID olny i do very limited killing with my t-21, I am a MID because i enjoy it and to pay for my large house.

I still think the point reduction was strategic to make Master Entertainer/Dancer/Musician/ImageDesigner possible at exactly 250 skill points.

This is correct, and I would just like to make something crystal-clear. They did not do this because they are trying to decrease our worth or our value. Skill points does not equal usefulness IMO. Look at dancer/musician, they take more skill points than most combat profs at this point and are the least respected profession in the game. They did this because this is something entertainers wanted to be able to do - master ALL entertainer professions. The assumptions are driving me crazy. They didn't do this because they're deleting ID. They didn't do this because they're decreasing our value. They did this because *gasp* we asked them to. Shocking I know, but occasionally it DOES happen.

So everyone chill out.

Personally, I don't care that they're taking away stat migrations. I didn't start ID to make money doing stat migrations, I started because I liked changing my ownappearance and the appearances of other players. I make more money doing cosmetic changes anyways. On average, I receive about 10k for a stat migration, and between 20k and 500k (not a typo) for cosmetic changes. I like that they gave me some skill points back because I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to organize myself over four different professions. And I love that they took away timers, because now I don't have to sit there staring at a timer when all somebody wants is an eye color one shade lighter than the one they already have (and they don't feel like talking). So I'm not too worried about the CU. As long as I can still change my hair style and color every single day like I have since I got ID, I'll be happy. But if that ever goes away... /brandish

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining. It would have just been nice to see them expand on the whole entertainer concept. I think it has huge untapped potentialto appeal topeople who like interactive online entertainment that doesn't necessaeily require competition.

I have been working on my own MMO gameworld concept with professions in 3 main categories (Entertainment/Leisure, Business/Service, & Combat/Military) & I was able to come up with at least 10 profession types in the entertainment/leisure category alone. I know people would pay to enntertain themselves like this... we just need a company with the guts to implement it.
